Let's Go To the Movies
May. 30th, 2004 02:44 pmJust another weekend of work. Saw The Day After Tomorrow Friday night. It was okay, kinda bland. ( But I feel vindicated! ) And of course, I couldn't get through a review of a movie without saying the girl in it was kinda cute. And Sela Ward has always been a milf.
Saturday was pretty uneventful, with only one issue at work. So passed the time there checking out Love, Actually for the second time, and Kill Bill for the umpteenth time in a row. Also caught RotK. Man, that's a long movie. But a damn good one. I can't wait to see the extended edition. Had dinner at Mama Fu's again that night. After having their curry rolls Tuesday, I think I'm addicted. Actually, they kinda remind me of Lumpia. Strange, I never noticed the place seems to be popular with skimpily dressed upper middle-class teenage girls.
So how about today? Came in to work, caught Juwanna Mann (which wasn't as awful as I thought it was gonna be. Still not great entertainment though, but passable), Down With Love (which I enjoyed, though it got a little too silly in the end with the reveals of Renee Zelweger's character. But overall, it was funny) and She's the One (featuring a not as famous yet Jennifer Aniston and Cameron Diaz, it had its moments). Just watching the 100 greatest one hit wonders on VH-1 right now.
Anyways, hopefully things will keep quiet until 7. It sucks that I have to come in tomorrow. But I did volunteer. And hey, it's extra cash!
