Apr. 11th, 2004 09:56 amOwel, just sitting alone here at work reading the latest ish of Hot Gimmick (more on that later) and singing along to music videos on the telly. Ah know, kinda minty, eh? Actually feeling a little ugh. Volunteered to come in today so David could see his family for Easter. But I'm running on very little sleep, had some chest congestion and could hardly breathe last night, so I prolly only got around three hours of sleep. It is fun to have the whole place to myself though.
Anyways, Friday night had dinner with the roomie at his pizza place on Windy Hill in that same strip as Fuddruckers. Those were some pretty big slices, bigger than your normal NY style. And their sicilian was like double the usual thickness! Afterwards, saw "The Girl Next Door". I enjoyed this a lot. And seriously, Elisha Cuthbert is looking totally hot in this. phatjoe's housewarming party after the movie. Spoke with peeps like mike_b and mathslut and hippieatheart. Krug was totally confused talking to dresque because he thought it couldn't be him here, cause he lives in Boston! psyched_out and the little lady showed up later, talked with them a little before we left. Oh, and I had nary a drop to drink! I did amuse myself by making dumb offensive words and phrases with the refrigirator magnets. Yes, I really am 12.
Saturday, had some Checkers. They make some good burgers, and their chili cheese dogs aren't bad either. Then wasted six hours of my life that I'll never get back watching "Robooop: Prime Directives" on Sci Fi. Then headed over tozarathustra94 and turdburgler's to slay elves with hippieatheart Literally, even! There was returning of borrowed stuff and Sis lent me the latest ish of Hot Gimmick. Took that into work with me to read. It was pretty interesting. I still think the whole Hatsumi/Ryogi thing is a little screwed up, given he's only a slightly lesser jerk than Azusa. At least Azusa has the excuse of being totally screwed up over his mom's affair/death. But I like that there are other things there. The whole Akane (so where were these girls like her when I was in school?) being all jealous, and it looks like they might do something with her and Subaru. Although the while thing with Hatsumi and her brother is still weird and mysterious. I'm curious how that is gonna play out.
Damn, its only 1040, and I still have to be here for several more hours. And Alias is at 10 tonight because of the Nick and Jessica variety hour. That's not gonna be a regular thing now, is it? Speaking of shows, caught eps 16-20 of Clone Wars before going to bed. That General Grievous guy seems interesting. If he's supposed to be one of the big bads in Ep3, I dunno if he'll translate well from the cartoon. I guess they can do crazy stuff with CGI nowadays. It'll take a lot of work to make him look good, because he's doing all that panzerkunst robot fighting stuff with the spinning joints and utilizing his robotic body to make lightsaber strikes from all angles.
