Sep. 16th, 2003 12:00 amJust watching The Joe Schmoe show right now on Spike TV at work. I've actually found it pretty entertaining. And is it me, or are Ashleigh and Molly really hot?! I wonder how many eps they were able to do? They make it look like in the next ep that they crack from the guilt and are gonna end the show, but I doubt that's what's gonna end up happenning.
Saw "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" last night. I actually enjoyed it. I didn't actively try to see it, because its not really my cup of tea. But it was actually very funny. 4 good movies in as many days? That prolly means next weeekend's movies will suck. Underworld and The Lowdown will end up being disappointing. Well, next weekend will suck in general because of the football game. Its not that I hate football, its just very inconviencing. I'll end up having to go to work a couple of hours early just to find a parking spot since the game is at 7pm. Owel, mebbe I'll just go to church on Saturday night instead then since I'm stuck on campus anyways. But alas, cute choir girl sings on Sundays. Not that I'm doing anything about it anyways, so I guess it doesn't really matter.
Ah, was almost late to work, so I ran through the mud around the back side of the building so I could get to my car quicker, so my sneakers are caked with dirt. I need to go get some new sneakers soon anyways. Speaking of, I'm reminded of that housewarming party
phatjoe had a little over three years ago. A good number of you were there! We had started using the community pool like 3am in the morning and the neighbors complained and some rent a cop broke it up. Ha, I remember him threatening about throwing us in "a paddy wagon waiting out front". Well, that and cutting my hand on a broken beer bottle as I hopped out of the pool. Of course, I was too out of it to feel it. Anyways, since there weren't any linens around, I squeezed my soaking wet feet into my sneakers, basically ruining them. Then we all went home and Joe was freaking that he'd be kicked out. Thankfully, he wasn't. And Krug and I were so out of it that
psyched_out had to drive the Passat home. I think he's the only one Krug has ever let drive his car.
But thinking about it, so many things have changed in those three years. I can already name three of youse there who've gotten married since then. Some have gone through as many fiancees! And more than a few aren't even here in Atlanta anymore. I can't remember the date though. I just remember it was the first in a whole string of to dos for the next few months. I think I threw
dholliday's terrible (or at least I think I did a very poor job) bachelor party a week or two later, then there was his wedding to
ladygzb, then I had to fly up to NY for my parent's 25th anniversary to be pop's best man when they renewed their vows. I got plastered there too. I remember some insanity involving hopping on a table and table surfing, and I don't even remember what the hell I said in my speech to my parents.
The doc says no more alcohol though, so I think I'm really gonna try and stay dry for good! I mean, after the fiasco at Jason and Allison's bachelor/bachelorette party, I can't even think of drinking another drop. That was a very sucky night/morning. I mean, I went to Zesto's for the tater tots with bacon cheeseburger and chili-dog hangover cure, but I ended up not finishing it all. I think the smell/taste of the soda was making me nauseous for some reason.
Oh, and I finally found cheddar and bacon easy cheese! One of my life's ambitions fulfilled!
