(no subject)

Another day, another week. Went to the Vortex with the roomie, and the married peeps, Mr and Mrs. psyched_out, and dholliday and ladygzb. Hadn't been there in a while. Coincedentally, got seated at the infamous "Roman Coke" table. But no, I did not get any. Well, I got coke, but it was sans rum. Got the Coronary Bypass. (for those unfamiliar, its a cheeseburger with four strips of bacon and a fried egg) Alas, it didn't taste as good as the last time. The egg was a little dry. Last time I had one, it seemed to be light and melt in your mouthy. Or mebbe it needed more salt. Or maybe the burger needed a little more mayo. In any case, you can't really go wrong with burgers and tots.

Anyways, just talked and hung out for a while. Actually, Scott told me in the car beforehand how he depressed Kramer a little Friday by mentioning how my speech at his wedding anniversary thing made him realize next year around this time will mark a decade since we all came to Tech. And it is. Holy crap. And I just realized how old I was this morning, and how old I'm gonna be in December.

We joked about things to do. He mentioned going to the good old Spag Fac, as our freshman peer leader bgage termed it. I had many a birthday at the Spaghetti Factory, but we discussed our first trip there. (Was it the Saturday before classes started?) Scott and I ended up as the only guys seated with Eileen's peer group. Some cute girls there I had forgotten about. Like that "always drinkin' coffee after dinner girl from California" Julie who propositioned Bob and JP to be her f*ck buddies. I can't believe how long ago that was! Not only was it in the last decade, but also last century and last millenia! But college was some good times! Speaking of, Christmas is indeed the best time of the year, but this time of year always runs a very close second!
