Dammit, this project is driving me gnuts! And I'll feel guilty if I didn't make some headway before my vacation. Well, not enough to actually say "screw vacation! I wanna work!", but enough to feel a little bad. It makes me wish I had a laptop ([livejournal.com profile] 7500centfish, you still have that extra one?), though I need some sort of connection to do what I need to do. Its too bad the place in HH doesn't have wireless. They should! To be able to sit out in the sun and still do my work. (Whoa, I just realized, a week without internet access? I'm gonna flip out!) I mean, even if I had a book about this stuff I could read, it wouldn't help me out unless I had access to something I could practice with! Owel, guess I'll have to settle for bikini-clad hotties to occupy my time instead.

So what is on the itinerary? Friday's July 4th, Sunday is mom and [livejournal.com profile] durlxnemesis b-days (will you be in NY?). Then a week of fun in the sun. Jason's non-bachelor party is that next weekend. Whoa, and the weekend after that is his wedding. Wow, it seems like more and more peeps from Tech are getting married. Actually, looking at the people on my LJ Friends list who are fellow Techies, a little more than a third are married! And at [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out's weddding/anniversary thing back in may, I think the majority of chyx there who used to be single when I first met them were all married and stuff. Wow, I'm like old!

Anyways, been wrapping my head around this thing they have me doing, but I've reached an impasse. Heh, I took a break to clear my head and started doodling, and the big boss comes up behind me asking how things are going. And what do I always doodle? Y'all who've had class with me know! Guns, lots of guns. I was worried he was gonna think I was some kind of loon. But I don't think he saw what was on my pad o' notes. I've been trying to learn to draw new designs, I was working on the M249 (aka the FN Minimi). That buttstock is a pain though! I guess it just takes practice! And using a pencil and engineering pad instead of a ballpoint pen and legal pad would help as well.

Oh, and campus switched from campus to dish. So we have more channels at work. Though some of the good ones, like Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon aren't up yet.

Time for lunch!
