Dec. 1st, 2002 04:22 pmJust sitting here at work, its a shorter day than normal since I didn't have to come in until noon. Anyways, I hope everybody had a good Thanksgiving! I got back to Atlanta yesterday afternoon. Alas, no one else was back until later that night. Owel. Thanksgiving was good. But no turkey! cliffV('What's up with that?!') The family had some Filipino food, and lobsters, which I'm allergic to. But hey there was a Honeybaked brand ham. That's some good stuff.
Watched some of the Buffy marathon (speaking of Buffy, was it me or did all the girls on Buffy look amazing in the latest ep?). Yes, there was even some karaoke-ing. And it scores.
isabel79 and
durlxnemesis did very well. (I bet they think they're so damn great!) I started off with a rendition of Kenny Rogers' "Lady", and later tried the Bee Gees' "How Deep is Your Love", Boyz II Men's "On Bended Knee" (or as the machine had it, "On Bended Knees"), All-4-Ones "I Could Love You Like That", Chicago's "If You Leave Me Now", and the Lionel Richie/Diana Ross duet, "Endless Love". Yes, lame I know, but its the only songs I really knew from the list. And I did dismally according to the thing's "rating system". I did finally do well with my rendition of George Michael's "Faith". And no, there was no jukebox to lean against, nor did I shake my ass.
Friday was another loafing day. I don't feel as lazy since my brother managed to sleep all day! I can't even conceive of being able to sleep that long. Left Saturday morning. Of course, security didn't mention until after I got to the security checkpoint that they no longer let you get your boarding pass via the e-ticket confirmation letter at the gate, and I had to go back and wait in two lines just to get to the plane. I was also amused by Delta's display of things that you aren't allowed to bring on the plane. They had your usual guns, knives, lighters, insect poison, etc. But they also had a chainsaw! Ha! I mean, who would even think to use that? And who would bring a chainsaw with them on a trip anyways?
Owel, Atlanta's cold right now, but not as cold as it was back in NY. I hate the cold.
