After work Wednesday, headed up to the Roaster's on Cobb with Krug and Joseph to meet Tara. When we were there the other day, Krug noticed they had trivia on Wednesdays, so we thought, why not try it, even though it would end up being the third Roaster's trip in less than a week. We invited [livejournal.com profile] psychedout and the wifey to join us, but they already had plans. But they expressed interest, as Sato I think can eat more at Roaster's than she can at Burrito Art. Speaking of which, Joseph and Krug had lunch there that afternoon and were told that they were starting up trivia again and should come back. Owel, mebbe we'll alternate. And unlike Tuesday trivia, it doesn't conflict with my shows, so I can go to either. Which brings me to this tangent? What the hell is with everything I watch now being on Tuesdays and Sundays. There's enough days in the week to spread that out. I mean, Mondays are totally devoid of anything good (other than rasslin') And Wednesday used to have stuff, but BoP hasn't really lived up to expectations and its being cancelled anyways, and The Creek has totally gone down the drain. I should've stopped watching at the end of season 3, where Pacey and Joey sail off in to the sunset and just think that live happily ever after. But I digress, as I haven't finished my trivia story and will talk more about TV later. Anyways, the questions were easier than Burrito Art's, but weren't multiple choice. We should've won, but got third place instead. Perhaps Scott would've known it was Yoko Ono, and not Michael Jackson who gets a quarter of the cut from the Beatles' Anthology. Not that was the deciding factor, but I think we knew better than the other teams. All in all, it was a fun night.

Owel, since I have Thursdays and Fridays off, just loafed around. Finished up El-Hazard, was a pretty good series. I also am caught up on Firefly, having watched all the stuff saved on the PVR. Its a good show with a really bad time slot. Hopefully Fox will give it a chance. It would be interesting if all three of Joss's shows end up being cancelled. I mean with SMG supposedly not returning and Angel and Firefly being in shit time slots, its possible. I mean, who's brilliant idea was it to put Angel up against Alias and the Sopranos?! And Fox needs to stop putting stuff on Friday night! No one watches TV then! I mean, it did work for X-Files all those years ago, but nothing ever since has succeeded in that time slot! Then again, where can you fit those shows? Definitely not Thursday with CSI on CBS and NBC's must see TV. Speaking of which, Christina Applegate was totally believable as Rachel's sister. Or at least, I thought so.

And what's with all these games being released on the PS2 now? I mean, after having almost a year hiatus on video games, Silent Scope 3, Vice City, Onimusha 2, Contra, and Shinobi all came out. I had to fight the urge to buy Dead to Rights on the PS2. I just about everything I wanted to in Onimusha 2 and Vice City, but SS3, Contra, and Shinobi aren't even closed to be finished. And the latter are supposed to be really hard. I do like the character designs in Shinobi though, but from all the previews, I can see the later levels being total pains in the ass. Oh, and the X-box has MGS2: Substance right now, I heard its gonna come out for the PS2 early next year. I will be annoyed if I can't use my old save from MGS2 and I have to do everything all over again.
