Sep. 18th, 2002 07:40 amHoly crap that was a torrential downpour last night. And the lightning flashes seemed to be almost continuous! Although I'm tired now. I didn't get to sleep until after midnight, then I woke up again at 1 when it really started pouring down. Which was a good thing because I was awake during the brief power outage which reset my alarm clock, so I was able to set it. That and I set the alarm on my cellphone just in case. Right before I went to bed, even before it was even storming or anything, I had a feeling I needed to do that because the power was going to go out. But I was lazy, and figured if I concentrate really hard on "6am", my body's internal alarm clock would wake me up then.

psyched_out and his wifey were actually able to come. So it was Scott, Sato, me, Krug, Joseph, and Charlie. It turned out there were only three teams, so we were guaranteed to get some money, which was good. For a team name, I suggested 66% asian, which certain people should get immediately. Of course, Krug changed it to 59% because the Philippines has all that Spanish mixed in. Anyways, for some reason, the trivia guy kept on saying the team name as 53% acidity. And Krug's handwriting is nowhere near as bad to warrant such a misinterpretation. But what luck, we managed to pull off the victory. And unlike the last times, they let us apply the $50 to our meal that night, so the bill ended up being $6 for the 6 of us.
Afterwards, followed Krug up to Jim Ellis in order to drive him back after he dropped off his car. Came back and watched the season finales of Buffy and Smallville on PVR. So I guess the new season starts next week? Ah can't wait!
