I don't remember how the dream started, but I was with the family in some hotel when we passed by some hotel room with an open door. We somehow got into an altercation with these other people in the room and totally beat the crap out of them. Afterwards, my dad and I stayed to clean things up. One of the beat up people was this rich guy who said he was gonna sue. So I tell my dad, "Damn, we're screwed anyways, might as well kill this guy." So I find something to use as a garrotte and proceed to start strangling the guy. Then the guy makes an offer, he'll drop the lawsuit if I marry his daughter. For some reason, I had met his daughter a long time ago, and she was indeed cute, so I accepted it. Also, he was white, but his daughter was filipino.

Anyways, I show up at her high school prom to propose but she's really into her date. Then suddenly these camera crews show up and it turns into this reality TV show to be broadcast on Fox, where me and this guy debate and national television on who she should marry. So he makes his case first, and its obvious that they're both in love with each other, so of course I totally lose the game. But I guess the rich father guy decides to drop the lawsuit anyways.

So I'm back in NY comforting this rich chick I knew. Anyways, we end up falling asleep in my bed, and I wake up in the middle of the night and start tickling her and we start playing around on my bed. I ask her out, and she says its perfect because her parents are out of town this weekend. So, I'm qv('Alright') But then the next "day", I find out that part was a dream because I asked her about it in the morning and she didn't know what I was talking about.

Anyways, I was hanging with the rich chick and her family at some posh ball when there's some sort of robbery or terrorist attack or something and some people get killed. It was thwarted somehow, and I killed a few of the baddies myself by tossing them off a high balcony. But it turns out that that girl from before (the flip one with the father who wanted me to marry her), while she wasn't there, her boyfriend from the prom was there, and so was this guy her father made her marry. Of course, that marriage was for show and she was still seeing the prom guy. Anyways, it turns out both these guys got killed. I think I may have actually accidentally contributed to one fo their deaths while I was fighting, like they got caught in the crossfire or something. Anyways, the rich guy finds me and drives me to his mansion and wants me to break the news of their deaths to her. So I'm in this fancy study and she's looking way cute and I start to tell her what happenned, but then I woke up.

Definitely one of the weirder dreams I've had.

I usually change my posting name every few days. How do I choose what it will be? Totally random inspiration. Take me last two posting names for example. Currently, my posting name is Theo Bibble. Here's how I came up with that. I was watching that tennis ep of Slayers, and Amelia gives the trophy to Zelgadis to read the clue about the Clair Bible. Then he's all "this says Claire Bibble!" and Xellos is all "Whoops! My bad!" Then I recalled engineering camp, where two of the black campers referreed to themselves as "Claire" and "Theo", after the Cosby Show. And there you go. As for "Scrum o da Earf", I was watching that ep of friends where Ross plays Rugby to impress Emily, and Joey is telling Ross what a scrum is (does that make a hum a scruddle!? Ha!) That made me think of "Scum of the Earth" which I think is a Rob Zombie song on the MI2 soundtrack, though I'm not 100% sure. But then I decided to change it to a mick/ebonics thing by changing of to "o" and using da earf, like berf day and mouf. Other names are similarly made up. Now you know. And knowing is half the battle.

What were you in a past life?

"Dying bravely for king and country is what every solder both dreams of and fears, isn't it? Long nights spent on guard, hard marches, and the brutality of war surrounded you, but you held fast to your honor and loyalty. You were determined to march off into the face of the enemy, screaming your country's battle cry and dying with your leader's name on your lips... you got your wish, and you took a lot of the Other Guys down with you. A real hero.

Guess what, hero? Although no one can say that loyalty and honor are bad qualities, sometimes you need to take a look at what it is you're fighting for. Devoted to the Cause? Determined to see it through? Ask yourself why. If it's something WORTH fighting for, you should be able to find that 'why', and if it's not... then put down your gun, soldier. Stay home. Marry. Have kids. Whatever makes you happy. Take a turn, this lifetime, at being what the heros are fighting for... at least until you know why you're fighting."

Hey, its pretty apropo. But what's with them asking "Why do you fight?" That's not my job. I don't dictate policy. Just tell me who's ass to kick, you know?

Gondor?

If I lived in Middle-Earth, it would be in:
Gondor, The White City

You enjoy the entropy and feeling of a city that never sleeps. The need to have fun and mingle with others is a necessity to you, as well as feeling the spirit of the urban life rushing around you. There is nothing in nature that excites you as much as technology, over-population, and the sight of skyscrapers at dizzying heights.

Never read the books, so I have no idea where dat be. I don't think it was in FoTR, but I only saw it once. This Two Towers deal looks pretty neat. Seems like there's more ass-kicking in it, which is always cool.
