Umbrella Academy- Heh, what the heck, from the commercials I totally thought James Franco was in this, but it was Nathan from Misfits. This is like that time I thought Daniel Radcliffe was in Dirk Gently from the commercials.
The Magicians- Lots of stuff happening. So at the Library, turns out the person who grabbed Alice was Pulver. He just wanted to stop her from getting captured, because he wants her help. And why would she help that pervert who was basically responsible for creating the Beast?
He has a spell that will re-write their books with believable bullshit to hide she and him and her friends from the Library. While on this mission, she finds out Q only has a week to live. I do wonder if she'll find a way to double cross Pulver, because she prolly doesn't want to let the sick bastard get to live a safe life.
Meanwhile, Julia wants to find answers about her invincibility. Josh suggests Bacchus' Maenads. Penny23 accompanies her, and they find the last one right before she tries to kill herself. She tells them she can figure out Julia's situation, but involves Penny having to "anoint" Julia. So basically he has to oil up her naked body, and its all intimate and awkward since he was in love with his timeline's Julia.
Anyways, the Maenad thought Julia was bs-ing her when she said she was a former goddess. But yeah, she lets Julia know she actually still possesses a huge amount of power.
We find out what the quickening is- Josh has lycanthropy, which isn't a big deal most of the time. But apparently every 30 years, werewolves in that universe have to either fuck (to spread the curse) or kill or end up going crazy and killing themselves.
He and Margo try to figure out a way for him to avoid passing the curse on/killing someone. Unfortunately all their efforts fail, and Josh resolves to lock himself up and die, but Margo won't let him. She ends up sleeping with him to save him. And heh, she's fine with it, because she doubts she'll be around in another 30 years anyways. But she didn't want to lose anymore friends.
Which brings us to Q and Jelliot. Q's dad did die, and so Quentin went home to help his mom with clearing out his dad's stuff. Like his model airplanes. Jelliot actually helps Quentin through his grief. And then tells him that Elliot is dead and gone.
But turns out its a lie, as it does look Elliot is still alive deep down in there. Now does Jennifer realize he's alive? Or is he just screwing with Q?
