TV commentary:

The 100- Whoa, crazy season finale! Because of my injury haven't been posting too much. Didn't have much to say about this show for the past few eps, because its mostly been these chuckleheads being stupid and stepping on each others plans even though they're all on the same side. But it seems everyone gained some sense in the last two eps.

Lexa via Madi made Clarke see she was being insane sacrificing everyone else for Madi. We learn why Octavia became the tyrant she is- because of the horrors of the long year (which involved the bunker people having to eat their own to survive due to problems with the hydroponics plant), she doubled down. Eden was the light at the end of the tunnel, the prize that justified all the terrible things that happened. So she went overboard, forcing them into a fight that almost doomed the bunker people.

Of course, they wouldn't be doomed if Kane wasn't an idiot and didn't team up with Diyoza to betray them to Mcreary. Like how did he not see Mcreary screwing them over and not accepting surrender?

But yeah, Octavia learned humility, and Clarke stopped being stupid and was able to fix Kane's mistake. Madi takes control of the army, and Bellamy, Echo, Emori and Murphy use the Rover to punch a hole through the prisoner's defenses. Echo and Bellamy get off some lucky shots, managing to hit the heavy cannons at the right spot and time to cause some big booms, allowing Madi to lead the army through.

Clarke meanwhile takes Diyoza hostage and threatens to shoot her unborn baby if Mcreary doesn't surrender. Mcreary had just managed to break Shaw and Raven and was getting Raven to fly them out of there so he could bomb Wankru. Turns out he's a crazy fuck, and backed into a corner, he instead decides to... drop a bomb on Eden. And even though he was slowly typing the code and everyone was telling Clarke to shoot him, she doesn't do it in time, and he launches.

So he turns the tables and tells them to give up and let Raven or Shaw fly them out of there, or else they all die. And so Princess Mechanic have a secret conversation with their eyes, where it seems like Clarke acquiesces and is going to force Raven to lift off without their friends, but its a ruse. Raven grabs Mcreary and activates her collar to fry the both of them, giving Shaw time to kill the rest of Mcreary's men. And then with Mcreary subdued, Clarke coldly tells him he'll never get to know his daughter, and possibly kills him?

But yeah, its too late to stop the missile, so everyone has to make it to the ship so they can fly back to the Eligus. There's a scare where it seems like not everyone is going to make it- Murphy is wounded, but Monty and Emori manage to carry him back in the nick of time. Octavia finds Abby, who's operating on Kane, and she convinces Abby to move Kane rather than continue operating futilely. Echo arrives to help them transport him back.

Gaia is also taken to the ship- they manage to stabilize Gaia and Murphy, but Kane needs to be put in to cryo. Actually, they all have to go into cryo, as they don't have enough supplies for everyone. Supposedly they only need to wait 10 years for things to clear up.

Cut to Bellarke being woken up by a mixed raced Asian/White guy (Zane from Degrassi/Theo from Carmilla). Gee, what couple does that fit? Monty and Harper, who apparently did not go to sleep. Since its only the two of them, Monty got the algae farm going, which was enough for him and Harper, and eventually their son, Jasper Jordan. They waited for Earth to clear, but it never did. Eventually, Harper succumbed to the genetic disease she had and died, and Monty didn't want to live without her. They had already put their son in cryo, and Monty eventually figured out Earth was dead and never recovering. But he also cracked the Eligus file, and discovered that other ship ended up colonizing another planet.

And so before he died, he sent the ship to there. And that's where we end, with Bellarke and Jordan overlooking the new planet. We'll have to see next season to see what the planet is like, and what the future holds. The show also says, "End Book One". Which, that's pretty bold and presumptuous. If book one was five seasons, I'm skeptical the show will last even close to another "book".

But, they do manage to keep me invested, definitely curious to see what the new season holds.
