TV commentary:

Runaways- Lots of big developments this ep! I guess, let's start with the most mundane stuff first. The post Janet/Robert affair reveal is super awkward for both families. I mean, while Janet has decided to double down with her husband since he's been on this niceness kick, Robert is fully committed to divorcing Tina and wanting to be with Janet. Which again is bold, given how scary Tina and Victor are. Indeed, Victor even postures at the open house.

But yes, Janet getting back with Victor is straight "cycle of abuse" shit, but at the same time, its like, back off, Robert! Yes, Janet is fooling herself, letting herself get drawn back in to Victor, just because he's being kind to her and Chase. But if you really care, just be there for her as a friend, don't freaking start asking her to be with you instead!

And its sad, because there's a part of Tina that still wants him. Nico was hoping if the affair was over, things can be forgiven and her parents can be back together! But its clear Robert has moved on from Tina.

Anyways, Victor finally hears his device working, and he gets a message from Chase "not to pick up the fistigons!" And by the end of the ep we find out why. So, the Yorkes have been testing the vial of Jonah's blood that Dale pocketed. And Dale accidentally spills some on himself, and has a manic episode. But later, by the time of the open house, he's crashing, and he's like man, he doesn't even want to imagine what Victor's withdrawal is like.

Indeed, like I mentioned earlier, he postures with Robert, pretending to offer up his hand in peace, but then pulling him in to I guess puff up chests or whatever? Then he threaten's Chase's lacrosse coach to reinstate him. But in the end, he sees Chase working in his workshop and goes off on him. Chase of course gets mad at being suckered in and his dad being back to his abusive self and punches him.

Victor unfortunately grabs the Fistigons and starts using them on his son, causing Janet to show up and kill him. Which, is he dead? Or will Jonah's blood help him survive?

Jonah probably will not be pleased about these developments. And I'm wondering if he's playing Leslie? So he gave Frank healing powers, and a bigger role in the church. Leslie is of course upset at potentially being usurped, but Jonah sounds like he's only putting Frank in power because the church of Gibb is about to fall to shit. The Pride is what's important now.

But yeah, Jonah tells Leslie to get the rest of the Pride in line, and so she goes to try and fix the internal squabbles. Like she encourages Janet to tell Robert its over, and tells Tina that Robert and Janet were only a momentary fling. Leslie asks Tina to take him back if he promises its over. And for some reason, Leslie thinks all this is successful. But as I said earlier, Robert doesn't want to go back.

And its weird, because I don't know if Jonah really doesn't know what's going on with the Pride, or if he knows and was setting up Leslie to fail like he is with Frank. But she has other things to worry about. In his new role, Frank is going through old storage to decorate his new office with things meaningful to the church. And he finds a pic of Jonah... with Leslie as a kid. And the flashes of walking in on them effing come back.

So he eventually confronts Leslie on whether these are visions or memories or something else, and she admits she was hiding her involvement with Jonah out of shame. Which, yeah, what the hell, Jonah was like a father figure to her growing up, and he started sleeping with her? Pervert!

Oh, but poor Molly, she reveals to the others she told the Wilders, so the gang lays into her. She gets upset that they're all mad at her and runs off, with only Karolina chasing after her and bonding with her over their shared experiences of having secret super powers. Molly ends up becoming "team manager" of the dance team, but its basically Eiffel and the other girls dumping crap on her. But she takes it because she thinks the others hate her and thinks she messed up.

Making matters worse is the Wilders reveal to the Yorkes that Molly saw. And they tell the Yorkes how important it is Jonah not find out. Or Tina, which was hilarious, because event they admit she's scary as shit. Its funny, because when Leslie was trying to get the rest of the Pride in line, she told Tina she always saw her as her right hand, while Tina said she always saw Leslie as her's. Though given the dynamic we've seen so far, with Leslie being Jonah's closest confidante, I figured Leslie is the defacto leader of the Pride.

Anyways, Catherine tells her she found a loophole in the Yorkes' adoption papers allowing them to send Molly away to live with a relative she doesn't even know about. Which when they actually do this to Molly later, she's devastated, its her worst nightmare. Gert is at least reassuring to her adoptive sister, telling her they'll find a way out of it, but for now she should go for her own safety.

Which is BS. I know Gert feels like she doesn't know her parents, but even she has to realize no one that dorky could be THAT evil. So when they were telling Gert there's a lot of things she didn't know about, Gert shoulda formed a united front and be all, "Oh yeah, well I do know!" and see if they'd be so ready to give Molly away if Gert knows now anyways. Indeed, she might've been able to possibly turn her parents there.

Now onto the last point, which I didn't see coming, and is an interesting development. So when Alex was telling Nico last ep that her mom's password was password, I thought that was bullshit. But I thought the show was being stupid and going to that old well. Glad to see the show is saying that Alex is friggin lying, and Nico knows he is, because her password being that makes no g-d sense. Unfortunately, we don't see his answer when she demands he tells the truth about how he know.

I mean, I know in the books he's evil. And so far, he's definitely against his parents, but does he have his own agenda? That is interesting if he has secrets from the other kids, like does he already know stuff and is pretending he doesn't?
