TV commentary:
OUAT- I was going to say that's quick, but I guess its been seven eps. So we find out all about Hook's daughter, as well as what's up with that lady Goethel (did they say her name before?) that Victoria had been keeping prisoner. So back in the Wish-verse past, powerless EQ goes to Hook for help to get away. She gives him a location of a tower with magic he can use to defeat an immortal in exchange for him to wisk her away.
Anyways, he thinks he meets Rapunzel (actually, we never hear her name, we only see she has long hair), who directs him to get a flower to free her. He completes the quest, they totally do it.. and the next morning, she has a baby! Because she's really the evil witch who tried to trap Rapunzel, but Rapunzel has turned the tables on her and trapped her instead.
She's also Goethel, and she needed Hook to knock her up, because the only way to escape the tower was to leave someone from her bloodline in her place. So she takes off, and Hook goes back to the Evil Queen, says Smee is the new captain and he can take her wherever she wants to go. Because he's staying to take care of his daughter.
In the real world, Rogers is obsessed with finding Eloise, whom he thinks is his daughter. Weaver says Tilly can help, and she comes to him with a fake page from the book Rogers has been carrying around and a sob story about how Eloise actually died in a car accident. Only he figures it out its fake, and so he goes on the warpath, intending to demand answers from Victoria. He runs into Ivy, who leads him to a building where he finds Victoria and Eloise.
He arrests Victoria for kidnapping, and surprisingly, it sticks! As he rides with Eloise to the hospital, he gets mad at Tilly for trying to trick him, and Tilly is all sad. Because as people suspected, she's his daughter!
There are more mysteries though. We find out that wrecked tower Regina found Ivy at last week was the tower Alice was trapped in. Hook is worried at first, but then Henry and Ella show up with Alice. Hook is happy to see her, but he avoids touching her. Because apparently he has a poisoned heart, and she can't touch him. She claims she found a cure, and its okay. They hug, but its him who ends up poisoned!
Alice runs off distraught to Wonderland, and Ella follows readily, despite Henry's objections. Because we find out she has ulterior motives for following- she's searching for her mom, who supposedly abandoned her and her stepfather and ran off to Wonderland. Ella wants answers! When she catches up with Alice, she finds out her mom was killed by the Jabberwocky.
She sees a mark on Alice wrist, which was also on her stepfather's. Its the curse of the poisoned heart! Its why Ella's mom ran, to protect her love. And that's what's keeping Alice and her dad apart. She met a sorceress who claimed to cure it, hence her feeling safe to hug her father earlier. But turns out the helpful sorceress is Drizella.
Unbeknown to them, this whole thing is a trap, and Drizella sneaks up on Henry and freezes him to try and poison his heart so Ella and Henry won't be able to break the curse after she casts it. She doesn't seem successful at first (after all, Henry and Ella haven't had Lucy yet), with Ella and Alice stopping her before she can poison him. After sending Drizella away, Henry and Ella kiss with no ill effects. So either she poisons Henry later, or she did manage to poison him but it takes time to take effect.
We also meet Henry's friend Jack (where they totally do a Lando/Han in Cloud City thing). Now what does he have to do with things? In the real world, he shows up as Nick, Jacinda's baby daddy. Nick is a drummer turned lawyer, and Sabine recommends getting his help to get Lucy back after Victoria is arrested.
So of course Henry gets totally sad and jealous. But then, Ella reveals her big secret custody problem, she actually signed her parental rights away to Victoria, having been tricked by her. Henry tells her she needs to tell Nick since he can prolly figure out how to fix it. And then he backs off, presuming that even though Ella says Nick's only a friend, he's handsome and successful and he think Nick is Lucy's real father, and he doesn't want to stand in the way of all that.
Regina, tired of seeing Henry so morose, tells him he needs a change of pace, and asks him to go with her on a road trip to California to meet someone who can help. Someone whom Victoria forced out of HH years ago. Which, is it Zelena? But Regina says this person "hates her with every fiber of her being". Which, I thought they made up? Or is she cursed and her cursed self hates Roni? Though if Zelena is cursed, then how can she help?
Who else could it be? Regina had tried to enlist Rumpel's help, confronting Weaver says she knows he's awake. But Rumpel keeps his cover. Regina asks if he's keeping mum "because of the guardian", its a mistake. Wonder what that's all about?
Anyways, she and Henry leave right before Jacinda comes to the bar to give Henry a mix tape!
Other stuff, Regina uses her wakiness for good. She talks with Rogers, tossing a cake Eloise had made for him in the garbage, possibly because its poisoned. Regina also tells him to go easy on Tilly, that she prolly only followed Weaver's orders because she has nothing, and encourages him to talk with her. Rogers shows up with a chess set, promising to play with her every day, because apparently the white knight chess piece holds some sort of significance to the two of them back in FTL.
Meanwhile, Ivy talks with her mom before she's carted off, confirming what Goethel told Victoria, that she's been awake this whole time. Victoria warns her she can't trust Goethel, but Ivy just laughs it off.
Ivy and Goethel search Victoria's properties for Anastasia. Ivy thinks she finds her sister's coffin, but when they open it, its empty!
