Stranger Things- New season today! Quick comment about the first ep. Oh god, when Steve and Nancy were talking about that dinner they had to go to, I was totally confused at first. Like did one of their families' want to just eat with them. But then they showed up at some other house, and it took me way too long to realize whose house it was.
Like, I was thinking, that's strange, why are they having dinner with some random older couple, which is when I finally figured, crap, that's Barb's parents. Who sadly still think she disappeared. And yikes, Nancy and Steve just have to sit there and lie.
Tons of new characters though. New girl in town, into video games and skatebording, so of course the boys are into her. She has a bad boy older brother. Will's mom is dating Samwise now. And I guess they have a deal going with the DoE since she and Hopper are taking Will to see a doctor there about his experiences and continuing effects of the Upside Down.
We also meet another powered girl in the beginning, helping her friends robbing a bank. At first it seems like she's some sort of powerful telekinetic, collapsing a tunnel. But she actually only planted the illusion of the tunnel collapsing in the mind of the driver chasing them.
But getting back to the original powered girl of this show, so, Eleven is just living with Hopper right now? And they're keeping it a secret from Mike? That just seems mean.
