Star Trek Discovery- Well, that was fortunate. So if those Vulcan purists didn't try to assassinate Sarek, he woulda just have fallen into a Klingon trap?!
But heh, so the Vulcans were all, only one of your kids can make it into the Vulcan Expeditionary Force. So Sarek ended up choosing Spock, who decided to sign up for Starfleet instead. Whoops!
But yeah, when the Admiral was talking about stripping Lorca of his command, I was thinking, "Okay, she is so dead!" I mean, when they were all, "Sarek is too injured to complete his mission!" and Lorca suggested she go in his place, I figured something was going to happen to her. I was just wondering if he was going to sabotage her ship or do something to instigate the Klingons or something.
But, the Klingons were going to betray whoever met anyways. Which, Lorca being all, "We should wait for orders!" instead of rushing in headlong like he usually does, is it truly malicious, or smart-ass? Like, is he trying to get her killed, or is he being passive aggressive all, "Oh, if rush off to get her, I'll be doing exactly what she was saying that was bad that made her want to remove me from command!" And so he's not doing that to not give her any more ammo to use against him.
