Riverdale- Heh, what kinda dog and pony show is Sheriff Keller running?! I mean, why did the Nurse give Archie Fred's personal effects? Isn't that evidence? Or Pops' not being taped up and him cleaning up? Isn't that a crime scene? Its only been a few hours, surely the cops aren't done!
Anyways, the cops are picking up the usual suspects, while Jughead asks the Serpents to knock some heads and find out what happened. They find a guy mouthing off, but he was just a moron. But they take him back to the trailer to show Jughead they kicked his ass so he can tell Archie and his dad that they definitely had nothing to do with the shooting. Oh, and that he's a Serpent, whether he likes it or not.
Archie doesn't tell the cops everything, leaving out the fact that the gunman had him dead to rights, had his gun against Archie's head. Archie had his eyes closed until the gunman left, so he's not sure if the gunman took his dad's missing wallet.
It was kinda dickish of him to get all mad at Veronica when he notices the wallet missing after V took the clothes out of the bag (which again, why the eff did the nurse give it to them instead of the cops), especially after they just had shower sex. Which, I find it hilarious that even after stripping naked to hop in the shower, V is still wearing her pearls.
She's convinced her family has something to do with Fred's attempted murder, tho this time, she accuses her mom of being the mastermind, rather than her dad. Speaking of, Hiram is back, and heh, the Lodges are really trying to get into the "asshole Riverdale parents" contest. Like Hermione has turned downright nasty, and she and Hiram are all, "You better respect us, Mija!" Which its kinda weird that both her parents are Hispanic. Like with her last name being Lodge, I figured her father would just be some white dude. But I digress, since she thinks they did it, when he does recover, she's all, "Hey, good news, Fred is alive, that must really be disappointing to the people who tried to kill him!"
And interesting, what's going on with Cheryl and her mom? Penelope is badly burned, but the way Cheryl explains it, her mom got those burns saving her from a fire. Which is obviously not what we saw happening at the end of last season! She was standing there holding her mom back from the burning mansion. Apparently we learn she got burned trying to run into the mansion to save that giant portrait.
But yeah, we get a dark scene where Cheryl threatens her moms life, saying she's in charge now, and if Penelope says anything about the true cause of the fire, she'll tell the truth of "what really happened in the barn with daddy!" Interesting, did Penelope kill him and make it look like a suicide.
Ha, Cheryl is so weird tho! She kisses Fred on the head and tells Archie that he gave her the kiss of life when he saved her at the river, so now she's giving it to Fred to save him! But hey, like I said, he does live, because he's not done protecting Archie.
Of course, once his dad comes home to recover, Archie is basically spending his nights sitting by the front door with a bat ready to protect his dad if the guy comes back to finish the job.
Surprising ending though, with someone strangling/cutting Miss Grundy's throat. Can't feel too bad, since she was being all pedo with another student.
