TV commentary:

30 Rock- Having swept up s3 and on of Bones, NCIS, and Criminal Minds, starting up s1 30 Rock. I'm kinda unsure of what I haven't and haven't seen. At first I thought I hadn't seen any of season one, but I definitely have. Like I totally remember the Floyd stuff at the end of season 1, and there are more than a few s1 ep descriptions that sound familiar, like Rural Juror and Cerie being engaged to a rich Greek dude (speaking of, the good thing about watching s1 is getting to see friggin hot-ass Katrina Bowden being all hot). Looking at the air dates, I'm pretty sure I started the show the January of its 1st season, though there's a clump of four eps that don't sound familiar, but at the same time, if I did start watching midway through s1, not sure why I would have missed them.

Whatever, nothing wrong with watching all of s1 just to be sure, its a hilarious show. Heh, actually on the ep where they focused on Cerie prancing around in her little outfits, and they made a GIJoe reference, with Jack asking the writers if they heard of 6-Sigma, and Frank is, "Its a special kinda GIJoe!" One, that's Sigma-6. And two, its not a special kinda GIJoe, its a variant universe, like GIJoe Rengades.

OUAT- Heh, still think its ridiculous for them to continue this with half the original cast gone, but since its on Friday now, there's no reason not to watch it. I guess the weirdest part is, if it was just the new adventures of adult Henry, that would be fine. It so weird that Regina, Gold, and Hook somehow got caught up in this reboot/new curse, but what can you do when only some of the cast quits?

But yeah, looks like the new big bad is Lady Tremaine, played by Gabrielle Anwar, with help from her daughter Drizela, played by Adelaide Kaine since Reign is over. Which, it really does seem they're just playing S1 Regina and S1 Regina Jr.

I like how they quickly set up the new version of Cinderella in the opening minutes by having original Henry be all, "oh, there were all those other books, did you know there are other versions of these classic stories, like Cinderella?" So we get new Cinderella and new Alice (who was already acquainted with Rumpel somehow?)

Speaking of Rumpel, I guess he's some sort of wild card in this? We first meet him again trying to drown someone, with Alice working for him. No idea if they don't have their memories, because they're being all mysterious. But as we soon learn, I guess Rumpel is a crooked detective?

And his new partner? Hook, who we see is a beat cop in this new world, but recently promoted to beat cop thanks to accidentally doing Lady Tremaine/Victoria Belfry's bidding.

Regina is a bar owner named Roni, and she's kinda like Snow 2.0, being the one challenging Victoria's attempt to gentrify the community. Cinderella/Jacinda is Emma 2.0, since she has the daughter who believes trying to get her (and Henry, who's also cursed) to believe.

Speaking of Henry, he's an uber driver and novelist with writer's block, his first novel basically being pre-reboot OUAT. So the weird thing is, Jacinda thinks she had her daughter from a one night fling, whereas Henry thinks his wife and daughter died in a fire, so its not like Henry can think Lucy could actually be his daughter. But since OUAT is a novel he wrote in this new world, he just thinks she's a troubled girl who thinks his book is real.

I guess that's the other weird thing, that this new curse doesn't take place in an isolated community, but rather a part of Seattle, so the characters are effectively in the real world.
