TV commentary:

The Originals- Heh, I would say, that was quick and easy, but it was a five year time jump. So, Hayley manages to find Keelin, the last werewolf of an almost extinct pack to find a cure for Kol and Elijah. She also manages to find a cure for Freya, and someone (Valerie?) to siphon the hex away from the Bekster. Which, that seems to take the wind out of a lot of these curses, if a siphoner can just suck it out.

Hayley single handedly takes on a bunch of followers of a vamp out to destroy Klaus (more on that later), to buy time for Freya to complete the spell to make the cure. Heh, not that Freya is all that helpless, since she manages to literally melt the brain of one that slips past Hayley.

We only see Elijah up and about, with Kol and Rebekah having taken off to satiate their hunger off screen. In any case, Freya doesn't honor Hayley's deal with Keelin, who Hayley had promised to let go after the cure worked. Freya may need more of her venom in case her family members get bitten again.

Back in the city, Marcel is trying to keep control. He's been doing a good job, but some of Klaus' former enemies having been showing up in NOLA to see Klaus' predicament for themselves. And the problem is that they don't respect Marcel's rules. One in particular, Alistair, wants a drop of Klaus blood in order to do a spell- he suspects the whole Klaus being tied to his siblings thing to keep them alive. He and his followers have been hunting Strix, and the fact they're still alive means so is Elijah.

Marcel ends up turning to Klaus to take care of the issue. He makes a show of letting Alistair have Klaus at the abandoned compound. Only Klaus isn't as helpless as he seems, and Klaus kills Alistair, and bites two others. Marcel knocks Klaus out, and uses the event as demonstration about why he keeps Klaus alive- so they have a werewolf cure on tap. As a symbol of his strength to keep order. And so that should hopefully prevent more revenge seeking enemies of Klaus from making trouble.

After getting re-imprisoned, he threatens Vincent with death once he inevitably escapes (he says it just takes one mistake by some revenge seeking fool to provide an opening for him to get free). But Vincent shuts him up by invoking Cami- she saw good in Klaus, and doesn't understand why Klaus insists on trying to prove her wrong.

After that, Klaus and Marcel have a talk. Klaus also taunts him, saying he keeps Klaus around because for all his talk about hating him, Klaus is still Marcel's father figure, and there's a part of him always seeking his approval. And Marcel keeping Klaus imprisoned and showing he's a better ruler than he was is a some sort of weird way to try and do that. Marcel isn't too please with Klaus' backtalk, so he stabs him with the Tunde blade.

Other stuff, some son of a witch Vincent likes goes missing. He's in some scary place, with an Ouroboros symbol on the wall. Something off screen approaches him menacingly, but we don't see what it is. However, we see Hope has been having nightmares and drawing the symbol over and over again.
