TV commentary:

Teen Wolf- Heh, seriously, that's what it is?! We finally learn Stiles real name, "Mieczyslaw". WTF, why the hell would the Sheriff and his wife name him that?! I'll have to say though, unlike Macgyver's real name being "Angus", that really is a terrible name that would cause him to go by something else! But heh, unsurprisingly, he couldn't pronounce it as a kid, so it ended up being "Mischief" which is what his mother called him. But I guess they foreshadowed it when they had Lydia go into that fugue state. You thought she wrote mischief because that's what Stiles is known for, but I guess his name was there the whole time!

Anyways, the Sheriff starts to remember more about Stiles, and a ball of red string appears, which he uses to recreate Stiles' connection board-thingie. And then all of a sudden his room is back. He tries to show it to his wife, but she still sees nothing. But one of the things that reappeared is a picture of Stiles with her. And the Sheriff remembers that was the pic of her last good day. As annoying as Claudia was before since she was undermining the whole remembering Stiles thing, this scene was heartbreaking. He's recounting to her the day of that pic, and he finally remembers and accepts that she's dead. And then she disappears. Alas, this is not the only heartbreaking thing this ep.

But yeah, once the Sheriff remembers everything, he sees a glowing thing off screen in the room, but more on that later.

So in the main plot, looks like in between eps, the Wild Hunt has basically taken everyone but Scott, Malia, Lydia, Liam, Hayden, Theo, Argent, Melissa, the Sheriff, Peter, Parrish, Theo, and Mr Douglas. That list gets shorter as the ep goes on.

We find out from Theo what Mr Douglas' whole deal is (they have to break the sword to make Theo talk, but the fact that Liam did the weird twisty thing with the hilt to make the sword fall apart, as opposed to actually breaking it, makes me think the sword can easily be reconstituted). Somehow he is a Lion/Wolf-man? Why could he just be a Lion-man? That's kinda weird. He's also a Nazi, but only as a means to an end. He wanted to use his position to find and take over the Wild Hunt, to make them his own personal army. His unit gets decimated by the Hunt in his attempt, so he flees. But not before they gave him an unhealable wound from one of their whips.

He ends up finding some doctors who think they can help him. And that is how he ended up in that tube at the Dread Doctor's place for 70 years. Apparently, something leaked from his whip wound that infused the liquid in the tube which he stewed in for decades, super-charging him.

So like Peter found out, the gate to wherever the hell the Hunt is holding people fries anyone who passes through it. And so that's where Parrish comes in. He captures Argent and Melissa, and makes them take him to where Parrish is. They try to turn the tables on him, but he whips them and get shunted to the other side. (Its heartbreaking later when Scott tries to call his mom and is devastated to hear the line was disconnected, meaning she's gone) Douglas is able to somehow take control of Parrish and make him do his bidding.

Meanwhile, the Ghost Riders attack the JV team at the Sheriff's station. They quickly capture Theo, and they get a hold of Hayden. Liam tries to save her, but she makes him leave to get Scott and hopefully figure out how to rescue all of them.

He makes it to Scott, Lydia, and Malia, who are able to find where the rift is. Unfortunately, Douglas and Parrish find them too. Douglas is too strong and manages to chase them off, wherein Parrish rips a hole in the rift and is able to allow himself and Douglas to get through before it closes behind them. So the rest of them are stuck! Then the Ghost Riders attack!

Turns out, they leave Lydia alone (which Liam describes less as fear and more of... reverence?), and they don't try to capture Scott or Malia, it seems they're trying to actually kill them. Lucky for them Peter shows up to save his daughter. And again, more sadness! For once he's not a piece of crap, and valiantly holds the Riders off to allow his daughter and Scott to escape. But they send him back to the other side quickly.

Anyways, things are looking glum for the heroes, thinking they're the only ones left in Beacon Hills. But then the Sheriff shows up and tells them he remembers his son. He also swears he saw him for a brief moment (the light we see off-screen) So Scott believes they can open a different rift in Stiles' room. If they all can remember him, maybe they can open up another rift in his room that they can pass through to mount a rescue!
