TV commentary:

Shooter- That was an action-filled and surprising season finale that could easily serve as a series finale. Also, I'm going to nitpick again. I did not expect Swagger to rescue his daughter so quickly and easily. Then again, I guess the climax couldn't be at the Russian embassy, otherwise he wouldn't get to do much sniping (at least not without creating an international incident)

So the showdown in the woods was pretty cool. But heh, he ends up with one last round, which he needed to take out Krukov before he killed Julie and Mary. Which is fine, but that scene is not without its flaws. So, when Memphis joined him on the ridge with her rifle, I was totally confused. I was thinking, was she just going to use her scope to spot for him? Because her rifle has nowhere near the range his has, and despite the training he gave her, she's nowhere near as proficient to utilize the longer ranges of her rifle anyways.

But nope, he was all, "shoot the car to distract him!" As we saw in Bob Lee's calculations, Krukov was 1625 yards out, which was double/triple the distance of Nadine's rifle max effective range. Now the bullets could certainly reach that far, but no way could she even hit something as big as a car from where she was. At least not without more training than she got from Bob Lee. But whatever, Bob Lee made a pretty bad-ass shot (convenient that the motel was only a mile from the shootout, I figured he'd have his wife way farther away than that)

I have to call shenanigans on the end though. So the rifle Swagger had handled in the pilot and that was being used to frame him, the firing pin had been shaved down so it actually couldn't fire bullets. And they show a flashback where I guess we see Bob Lee doing that (or at the very least starting to take apart the gun presumably to do just that). Wait, why the hell would he do that, unless they're saying he suspected he might be framed so he did that just in case!? Which seems kinda insane if he was that prescient.

The other thing I'm skeptical about, are they implying Isaac was a deep cover agent this whole time, and this whole crazy thing was a trap to catch Meechum working with Lon and Krukov? Which I guess only works if Isaac presumed Bob Lee would be able to break the conspiracy against him? But as I said, any attempt to "redeem" Isaac so they could keep him on the show as a non-villain is moot, because he freaking killed an old lady! It would be one thing if he killed a bad dude in cold blood in the course of his work. But he murdered Swagger's partner's mom! Like, maybe if they showed a scene where she was secretly still alive, then it could work, but nope, as far as we know she's dead!
