Agents of SHIELD- That seems like a bad idea, but what can you do? So Robbie, Coulson, and Fitz get put out of phase with reality, with the darkforce dimension slowly creeping on them trying to drag them in. The team worries they're dead at first, but Daisy convinces them not to lose hope. She brings up all the compelling examples of how they've achieved the impossible, Coulson coming back to life, Fitz finding Jemma across the freaking galaxy and pulling her back, etc.
So they look for a solution, and May thinks she found one in the Darkhold book. Coulson thinks its a bad idea, but its not like she can hear him. Fitz thinks its their best chance. However, when Radcliffe sees the book he recognizes that there's too much power in there, and it could turn someone insane. But Aida volunteers (possibly because she sensed Fitz begging her to?). So, both Coulson and May know she's an android. There's some arguing back and forth, but they seem to think since she's a robot, she's incorruptible. Like if there's any problems, they can just reboot her. Do they not remember Ultron? But like I said, they have no choice.
So, she reads a book, opens a gate just in time, as Coulson is being pulled into the Darkforce dimension. But seeing May give him words of encouragement gives him the strength he needs to break free (are they going to make those two a couple?!) so Fitz and Coulson are back to reality. But like I said, Aida reading the book prolly won't be good, because we later secretly see her constructing a holographic brain in her room. What could she be trying to do?
During all this, Ghost Rider takes over Mack since he doesn't want to be dragged back to "Hell" with Robbie. Mack doesn't want vengeance, but he's in a lot of pain, pain the Rider can feed off of. He tells Robbie that Mack lost hope (which Daisy overhears). But Robbie makes a new deal, if the Rider lets him get his uncle, the Rider can use him to settle his own scores. So they re-combine and make it to the gate to get back to reality.
Daisy talks to Mack, worried about what she heard. We find out later that the Rider didn't mean he lose hope, the concept, but perhaps a person named Hope, as he's sitting by the gate waiting for Robbie to come out. And they decide to team up to get Eli.
Other stuff, since Fitz, Coulson, and Robbie were basically invisible to everyone else, Fitz manages to overhear Mace's deal with the Senator, and is quite upset that he sent Jemma away and they lost track of her. Turns out the Senator wanted her to check out an Inhuman cocoon that someone had been trapped in for several months. After cutting the guy partially free, she gets a mask over her head and taken back to SHIELD even though she's not finished.
Anyways, when Fitz gets back, he confronts Mace about the whole thing, freaking out about Jemma. But he doesn't get to reveal too much, as Jemma shows up worried since she just learned about Fitz. So Fitzsimmons are too busy hugging each other in relief to finish taking Mace to task over his secret deal.
So, I wonder if they'll follow up on that, will the team ask Mace again about what the hell is going on with the Senator? And who knows Aida is an android? Is it just Coulson and May who know now and are keeping the secret? Or did they have to reveal her androidness in an after action report on how they rescued Coulson and Fitz?
