Being stuck at home for most of the week due to sickness, I've been indulging one of my favorite guilty pleasures, Holiday rom-coms on the Hallmark channel. I was watching one this morning, "Its Christmas, Carol", where Emmanuelle Vaugier plays the Scrooge character (named Carol, hence the title), while Carrie Fisher plays Marley AND all three Christmas ghosts (they hang a lampshade on it with Carrie Fisher's character being all they didn't have the budget to cast four different ghosts). Also she was Marley-esque in that she and Carol used to work together. However, she was actually quite nice before she got tragically hit by a bus, and its only after her death that Carol became such a hard-ass. Well, she was already on her way to being a workaholic driven only by profit, but once she took the reigns she went full bore.

Heh, anyways, one thing I found ridiculous about the movie was, they establish Carol as a connoisseur of books, that's why she became a publisher. But when time comes for the Ghost of Christmas Future to visit, she freaking googles "A Christmas Carol" to learn about them. Its like, who is that scene for? Carol should know already, and it can't be for the audience, because who doesn't know the effin Christmas Carol?!

Anyways, saw "Mr Right" on the DVR and went ahead and watched that. Sam Rockwell plays a typical Sam Rockwell character named Francis, who is one of the world's premiere hitmen. But he had a crisis of conscience, so now he's been killing people trying to hire him to kill someone. Tim Roth plays a typical Tim Roth character, Hopper, a former colleague of Francis who laments his change in attitude and is trying to capture him and take him to a facility that can hopefully make him him again.

Along the way, Francis meet Martha, a typical adorable and quirky Anna Kendrick character and they fall in love. He's pretty frank about what he does, but to be fair its so outlandish Martha just thinks he's incredibly weird. But then she finally sees him kill a guy and she's a little disturbed.. at first. Francis is troubled, so at first he tells Martha he'll only wound the bad guys that come after them in the movie. But she's cool with killing.

Francis makes friends with one of the thugs sent after him, Steve, played by the RZA. Francis tries to keep the body count as small as possible, and even spares Tim Roth after defeating him. Meanwhile, Martha kills the two dudes who started the main conflict of the movie by herself. So they reunite and are all, "Yeah, we're kinda crazy, but we love each other!" Hopper almost gets the jump on them, but Steve kills him. And Francis happily tells Steve that Hopper had a $5 million bounty on him, dead or alive. So he's rich, biatch! And then Martha and Francis become a hit team. So the bad guys all die, and everything works out for the "good" guys.
