Legends of Tomorrow- Hey, convenient! So its back to the Wild West to help Jonah Hex take on his nemesis Turnbull. Turns out they had to correct a time schism where Turnbull would take over the west half of the country thanks to getting a hold of a Dwarfstar mine. They defeat him, and now Ray has more than enough Dwarfstar to make 20 suits.
And oops, as I suggested last week, Stein telling his younger half to just ignore all this stuff he's seen isn't turning out well. He's having visions of another woman who isn't his wife! Uh oh!
Supernatural- Heh, that's rich! At the wake, Dean was all, this is how we all inevitably end up! Dude, people at the party were just talking about how you died like 4 times! His freaking mom even showed up, and she also came back from the dead. Apparently the rules don't apply to the Winchesters!
Also, I though Sam and Dean were more infamous than famous? Like I thought more than a few Hunters blamed them for a lot of the shit unleashed on the world. And its funny that they conveniently tagged along with Jodie for this wake, saying she'd be doing them a favor allowing them to go since they don't hobknob with other Hunters that much. Which makes it rich that Lady Toni was torturing Sam for info on the American Hunters at the beginning of the season. Its like, Sam wasn't being tough, he really didn't know anything!
Anyways, interesting ep. Its weird they showed Amy Gumenick in the beginning, but they just dressed Samantha Smith "young" for this ep. Of course, they did kinda screw up things timeline wise anyways, since Amy Gumenick Mary was preggers with Dean in the ep where Anna went to the past to kill her. Yet 5 years later she and what's his name from SoN turn into Samantha Smith and Jeffrey Dean Morgan!
But yeah, young her rescues a young boy, Asa, from a werewolf. And since she's a total hottie, of course he was infatuated with her and became a Hunter. Needless to say, at the wake, Asa's mom wasn't too pleased with Mary when she showed up. Heh, she shoves a bunch of postcards he could never send to Mary because she was so mysterious! To be fair she was prolly dead for a lot of those postcards.
Do the Winchesters still have the anti-possession tattoos (or I guess later they were upgraded to etchings on their very bones from Castiel)? Like you'd think they'd mention to the guests, "We can't get possessed, so you can at least trust us!" But yeah, you'd think such tattoos would be standard issue for occasions like this!
And heh, I totally called the twins being Asa's kids! There was a brief bit of dialogue that made it pretty obvious, though I'm not remembering it right now.
I'm just glad they didn't kill Jody! Like, I didn't think they would (because that would've been a downer to have to tell her daughters she died after they came back from their concert), but its not like this show has the very best track record when it comes to the longevity of side characters.
Anyways, for Dean to get back into the house, he makes a deal with Billie the Reaper. She doesn't say what her payment is at the time, but at the end, she says she wants Mary. She finds Momma Winchester to be an affront, but she does make it clear she'd be sending Mary upstairs. Wait, was Mary not there before? I guess she did get burned by Yellow Eyes. I dunno if that meant her soul was captured by him.
Heh, for a second, it looks like Mary might take the deal, much to Sam's horror and Dean's dismay. But since Billie can't actually kill her herself, Mary is all, "well, guess you'll have to wait until I actually die!" So Billie has another Winchester to dislike. Which speaking of, is she still planning to "lose" Sam and Dean's souls to the deepest, dankest depths when she does finally reap them?
