Black Mirror- Halfway through the season. The third ep is pretty interesting. So they're supposed to make you feel for the kid, he just seems like some nice guy being effed over for doing something incredibly embarrassing. But then they pull the rug out from under you all, "You were feeling sorry for a pedophile!"
I mean, granted, you would not want a video of you masturbating sent to people you know. Or even out there in general. But one should have been suspicious at how desperate the guy was. I mean, while such a video would again be incredibly mortifying for people to see, it kinda pales in comparison to what he was asked to do, like why he looked so desperate. Because he was jerking it to kiddie pr0n, so he actually was in some deep shit. So I think his desperation was a clue to something more being up.
It also colors things in the beginning in a different light- him giving the little girl the toy she forgot. At first, you think, "Oh, he's just being a nice guy, way better than those jerks he works with!" And then later with his manager lady. I guess if you don't know what he is, you'll miss the salient part of the scene. You think he's acting all weird because he has a crush on her and is being all awkward, but its because he's obsessing over the left over place mat that was drawn on by the little girls. Pervert!
But regardless of him being a pedo, there's also the lesson of, yeah, maybe cover up any camera on your computer before you decide to have some "alone" time. Well, and in the case of the lady, don't be an awful racist, and if you're dumb enough to spout such attitudes on line, you shouldn't be surprised if you get found out!
