Black Mirror- Heh, the second ep is a bit of a mind-eff, though again, it seems like although they extended the episode lengths for netflix, they're doing a bit of padding to reach that. Like I think there too many twists. Like the first ep, they could reach the same conclusion without having as many turns.
But heh, given the references at the beginning and end of the eps to turning your electronic devices when people tell you to, was that the actual lesson? Or perhaps, don't be a corporate spy? To be fair, that's why they took his phone away, not because having the phone go off at the same time as the upload would fry his brain.
Though I guess perhaps they might not have known that, hence the testing. Because you'd think if that was an issue, they'd just take away their phones and keep them in a shielded place before even getting to the testing room. Perhaps have the testing room shielded from outside signals to boot.
Like the first ep, while it did end up longer than it needed to be, there were other things I wanted to know. Mainly, is his death being covered up? Will the company face legal or criminal repercussions for this? Or are they shielded thanks to that contract he signed before hand? And again, is this something they knew could be a possibility and thought they were safe? Or had they not encountered such interference before?
