Flash- So bunch of changes. So, apparently Iris and Joe have a rift because Joe never told Iris about her mom in this timeline, and she found out on her own and never forgave him. Also, Cisco and Barry are on the outs because Dante died and Barry refused to go back in time to save him. And Draco Malfoy now works at the police department as the metahuman forensics specialist, and Barry has no idea who he is, but they apparently hate each other.
Anyways, Dr. Alchemy gives the Rival back his memories and powers from Flashpoint, so he's there to menace Central City. Since Barry knows who he is, they have a convo, which Iris sees from some security feeds of and wants to know what's up. Since his family is all messed up, he tries to go back in time to change things again. Possibly to save Dante's life? His determination to try and fix things did come right after Cisco railed into him about not wanting to use his powers to save his brother. Otherwise, I'm not sure what kinda plan he had to "fix" the timeline. Stop himself from stopping Reverse Flash, rather than rescuing Reverse Flash after other him stopped him from killing his mom and letting him kill her again?
In any case, its moot, because real Jay tackles him and stops him. He lectures him in a diner in 1998 (with a random Dawson's Creek reference thrown in) about how can never perfectly put things back together when he tries a do-over. So he gives Flash some fatherly advice, since he knows he's Barry father's doppleganger, asking him if he's going to be the kinda hero who keeps on trying to do-over until he gets things "right", or accept that sometimes people make mistakes and they have to live with them. So instead of trying to undo things, learning from that mistake and try to be better in the future.
So he goes back to the others and fesses up about Flashpoint, and it seems to heal the rifts in the family. He tells them its up to them if they want to know what there life was before, but its up to them. He also says he moved away from Flashpoint, because things were really bad. Again, were they? Joe was an alcoholic, and Wally got hurt and could possibly recover. Its not like there was an apocalypse. Actually, things were worse after he changed things back, because not only were his parents dead again, so was Dante. And like you can recover from alcoholism, or a stab wound, you can't recover from death!!
But anyways, Cisco is a little peeved that Barry did try to save his mom after refusing to save Dante, but Barry breaks it to him that he can't change the timeline anymore, that he may save Dante, but then someone else might have something equally horrible happen to them. He says, you don't want to live with that burden. Which, would Cisco live would that burden? He wouldn't know! Also, he could've said, he tried to make it so his brother was alive again, but Jay stopped him and lectured him about the perils of time line changing. Which that might've gotten Cisco off his back.
Though I guess Cisco never finds out his brother wasn't supposed to die! The gang decides not to find out what their lives used to be like. Though Iris says, they don't want to find out what things were like in Flashpoint. But that's not the life he was going to tell them about, he was going to tell them about the original timeline!
Some good came out of this, Cisco has been working on a suit to possibly become Vibe and maybe in the future team up with Barry. Which, he does help Barry kick the Rival's ass. But in the end, just when it seems Caitlin is the same, it turns out she has her Killer Frost powers and has been keeping it a secret?
Though, did she get those powers from the particle accelerator explosion? If so, would she still keep them secret this whole time?!
Oh, I guess we get confirmation Flashpoint did change the other shows- instead of Baby Sara, Diggle has a son, John. Which, interesting, in LoT, Connor Hawke is secretly Diggle's son. Which implies this new timeline is actually the "normal" one, since that's the one the Legends were in the future of.
