geebsRandom dumb story of the day: So I was watching this film featuring Marcia Hase. So some guy in it is all, "Rika, get over here!" which I was thinking, that's weird, because these type of movies the actresses use their real names. Or actually I guess their stage names. I mean, most of these people make up a name for the business, but in those movies, its not like they play a differently named character, they just play "themselves".
But I digress, later the guy calls her "Marika". And then it occurs to me, I thought this lady's name was "Marcia" the whole time, but its actually "Marica". In my defense, who spells Marica with a "C"!? Not that "Marika" is a real name either. But I would think since it is a made up name, she'd use a K because everyone is going to parse that as Marcia.
