Preacher- Jesse, what the eff did you do?! So, this ep freaks you out on Eugene, because some random students are being all nice to him. Like you don't know if they're for real, or if they're setting him up, especially since they take him to some random tunnel after school to show him something cool. But, it turns out they really were showing him something they though looked cool.
Anyways, seems like Eugene is freaked out as the audience is, finding everyone not hating him is totally weird. So he asks Jesse to take it back, and Jesse, in a mood over recent developments (more on that later) gets upset and Eugene's complaining and then accusation of whatever he's been doing as "cheating", so then tells Eugene to go to hell. And I guess he accidentally banishes Eugene to hell!
But yeah, finally, Jesse learns all about what's inside him from the angel dudes- Genesis, which is the product of a the union between demon and angel. Heh, there's an amusing extended sequence were another angel comes after the two angel dudes because they're on Earth without authorization. So heh, since angels just reform after dying, the long fight leads to them and the other angel leaving their corpses all over the place as they and Jesse (and eventually Cassidy) try to subdue her without killing her.
They tell Jesse ixnay on using his newfound powers, because the existence of it is a secret, and if word gets out, angels and demons will be coming out of the woodwork to destroy him and/or take the power for themselves. And their attempt to coax it out of him hits a snag when he tells them to stay away, since he thinks he got this power for a reason and totally intends to use it to do good.
Which as mentioned before, the fact the angels told him the power doesn't belong to him, hearing Eugene say its wrong for him to use it, and its sinful just sends Jesse over the edge and causes the unintended banishment to hell thing.
Other stuff, Tulip confronts Emily, thinking Jesse is hooking up with her and tosses some clay thing at her. Cutely, Tulip feels ultra guilty when Emily says that was her kid's project. So they end up bonding, and Tulip offers to help Emily with the church stuff so she can take care of her sick kid. We also find out Tulip had a kid once. What happened to it? Is it Jesse's?!
Heh, and in helping with the stuff, she discovers Cassidy works for Jesse (I think I've asked this before, I guess she did not know Cassidy knew Jesse?) But heh, Cassidy figures out Tulip's boyfriend she was telling him about is Jesse, so now things are awkward.
Oh, and it looks like the mayor helps Odin Quincannon cover up those people he murdered (after going to Jesse for advice), making it appear that they died in a car accident. I guess he has the coroner in his pocket, because otherwise, even if the bodies were burned, any medical examiner worth their salt could figure out they died of gunshot wounds.
