TV commentary:
Preacher- We get some answers, but we also get more mysteries. So those dude Cassidy killed (and again this ep!) are angels? What's his angle with being middle man though? To protect Jesse since these guys don't exactly seem to be wanting to get the power back peacefully? To somehow betray both parties and get the power for himself?
At least Jesse realizes he has this power now, though he seems to be keeping it mum from Tulip. And despite Tulip wanting very badly for them to go after this mysterious Carlos fellow who possibly abandoned them in the middle of a robbery and Jesse flip-flopping on whether to join her, he doesn't use it on her. He does use it on abusive husband guy, who tries to murder Jesse in a freaking convenience store bathroom because he's all embarrassed Jesse made him look like a fool at the bar. Jesse makes the guy put his own gun in his mouth and seems to be ready to get the guy to kill himself when he changes his mind. Now, I'm not saying he should've offed the guy, but he has to be careful- obviously he freaked the guy out, but what if that doesn't scare him away? He might just decide to kill Jesse outright in an ambush so Jesse doesn't get a chance to use his voice.
Speaking of people Jesse has used the voice on, we see bus driver guy has totally forgotten one of his charges since Jesse told him to. Its definitely a way too young little girl, so at least Jesse got the guy to stop perving over her.
Anyways, back to the Carlos thing, I wonder what that deal was? We see possibly-Carlos driving off, but we also see Jesse with a gun standing over a dead security guard. Was it Jesse who did it, or story-telling trickery to make the audience assume he did it. Why are they so hell bent on revenge on this guy? Yes, he abandoned them, but they seem to be doing just fine. Like I'm assuming they didn't get caught, otherwise I'd think they'd be still in jail if a security guard was killed in the middle of their robbery.
12 Monkeys- Aw, that's disappointing. Jennifer breaks out a group of like minded women to form a group called the Hyenas to fight the Monkeys. They seemed pretty cool and bad-ass. But alas, they tried to set a trap for the pallid man, and while Cole did get some useful information out of the guy, it turns out pallid man was trapping them, and Jennifer's people, as well as virus dude, who they were using as bait, along with hundreds of innocent people in a hospital get blown up.
Interesting though, when the ep started, we thought these ladies were the first daughters, but I guess maybe it was really Jennifer's first attempt at a group instead. I'm guessing when she creates the daughters, she picks more sane people.
And after pallid man gets away, we see him talking with Jones' husband, working him up. Interesting, what's that all about? Something to do with the Titan place the Witness is supposedly at. I forget, did her husband also die of the disease? She definitely though Hannah did.
Other stuff, Cassie and Ramse go off on a mission to find "The Keeper", a mysterious dude who seems to hold all the records from before the Apocalypse. They want him to be able to find Titan, as Cole had asked 2044 Jennifer, who had warned him that their search will lead to death, so he lies and says Jennifer has never heard of it.
The Keeper gets the drop on them, giving them info only after they tell the truth. In an amusing scene, he asks them why they hate each other. And as we find out, its jealousy and anger that Cole chose the other over them. Which is hilarious since they both believe that Cole prefers the other.
Scream- Argh, this Audrey stuff is so confusing! Like I said, the audience worrying about her only works if she didn't actually do any of the killings, I think. That it was just talk between her and Piper and things got out of hand. Like I like that when the mysterious new killer calls her and shows Emma is in danger, Audrey does call the police, even if she will be exposed. I'm not too keen on her almost bashing Noah in the head if she was on the camera he found in the storage unit.
But yep, the voice has a bunch of stuff on her now, footage of her with Jake's body (which the killer got rid of before Noah entered the unit the next day), and then they planted the bloody corkscrew used to kill the motel clerk in Audrey's car and got her to accidentally handle it. So like I said, this whole framing her for murder thing only works if she didn't murder anyone first season. What I mean is, if she did really murder people in the first season and got away with it, this is just her come uppance. But I want to believe the show wants us to view her as a sympathetic character, which I feel can only happen if she is innocent of murder.
Getting back to Emma, we get a whole bunch of backstory with her dad, plus new creepiness. Turns out Emma's mom told her dad to stay away. And he only came back because he got some e-mails from Riley, long after her death. Emma's parents go to the sheriff, and we find out the three of them used to be close in high school. Maggie wants the sheriff to look into it, but since people are assholes in real life, he's got a whole backlog of people fucking with them over these killings. Maggie gets him to look into it though, intimating they have some big secret going on and Miguel owes her.
We also find out Maggie sent her ex-husband away because he was an abusive drunk. Which Emma eventually learns about. It is convenient that Emma catches her dad getting into a bar fight outside the motel, as it allows Audrey to cover for calling the police.
Other stuff, turns out creepy Mr Branson is back in town, stalking Brooke and wanting to get back together. Turns out the flowers were not from the killer covering up Jake's death, but from him. Unless he's the killer, of course. Needless to say, Brooke is so mad at Jake now, not knowing the poor schlub is dead.
She does end up co-opting Gustavo into pretending they're together to make Branson go away, since he heard she and Jake broke up. Which the girls find pretty creepy since her being with Jake was a secret, so where would he have heard that. Of course, Brooke and Branson's conversations seemed a little non-specific to me, so the guy she's been talking on the phone with that sounded like him could be the killer, and they were having those conversations where the two people involved are talking about different things and the other doesn't know it.
In any case, I do like the friendship of the remaining Lakewood Five. Well Four, since Kieran is like a boring non-entity. Like I like when Brooke needed to dish with her girlfriends about the whole Branson thing, Audrey was there. I also like Brooke trying to hook Zoey and Noah up. But yeah, between Emma's dad and Branson, Audrey is quite suspicious of all these dudes showing back in their lives all of a sudden.
