Supernatural- That's an interesting end to the season. So, they decide to have Rowena make Dean into a soul bomb to take out Amara. Which had me wondering, it would definitely kill Dean, but like what the hell does that do to the souls? Like I can see them being fine with sacrificing the souls they got from the asylum, being ghosts they were basically feral and crap. But like Cas and Crowley were going to heaven and hell respectively (alas, the angels sealed heaven and "die with dignity", not sure how just sitting back and dying is dying with dignity, whereas Crowley's rivals stole his soul stash). And again, I can see a demon not caring about what happens to those souls, but what are these souls heaven is holding onto? Like people who've passed on? They might not be pleased being turned into a bomb.
But yeah, because heaven and hell are a wash, they're coming up a little short, but luckily Billie the Reaper shows up with a couple hundred thousand souls she took from the veil, since its in her best interest to not have the universe end.
Anyways, it ends up being moot, because Amara sees the world is not so bad, and Dean lets her see she was so consumed by revenge that now that she's gotten it and its not all its cracked up to be, maybe letting the rest of the world die isn't such a great idea. So Chuck and Amara make up and go off to be together again (heh, aren't they brother and sister?) but unfortunately, I think the gang thinks the apocalypse is averted because Dean blew himself up.
And Sam doesn't have a chance to find out he didn't, because the European Men of Letters chapter send over Valerie from TVD to take them in. The Winchester keep on effing things up, and some old British guys have had enough. Val gets Sam at gunpoint (having done that one anti-angel spell to send Cas away) asks where Dean is, and Sam says he's dead. She does at least seem saddened at this development, but when Sam continues to approach her, she warns him not to, or she'll shoot. Sam is all, "You're not going to shoot!" but we do see her pull the trigger. Obviously, she did not kill Sam though, because whatever, they're not going to kill one of the two leads off screen.
But yeah, as a thank you for giving Amara what she needed the most, she returns the favor. And apparently what he needs the most is his mommy, as Mary (the older version, not Cupid from Arrow) appears before him. So he has his mom back, but has no idea the Men of Letters have just grabbed Sam, who in turn thinks Dean is dead.
