Vampire Diaries- Heh, bring on the Bamon! I mean, the way Damon keeps looking like a sad sack whenever he sees Bonnie and Enzo being all lovey-dovey, what is it other than jealousy? Like he's hurt that Bonnie isn't having any of his attempts to reconcile with her, but if it was just her friendship he missed, he wouldn't be so upset whenever Bonnie and Enzo are kissing and flirting and all that. At the same time, its amusing that Bonnie is pretty upset Damon doesn't know her favorite flowers or how she likes her coffee.
Anyways, it seems Bonnie fell for Enzo while he was hiding her from the Armory. And we finally get more info on why they want her. As we heard from Virginia last ep, her sister wants Bonnie to unlock a vault in the basement. Turns out Virginia had Lucy (remember her?) seal it. But she and Alexandria's other sister Yvette was stuck in there at the time. We know Virginia feels whatever is in there can't be release, and it turns out she killed Lucy to prevent the vault from being unsealed. And so Bonnie is Alexandria's only hope to free her other sister.
She even tries to make a deal with Enzo- if she brings Bonnie in and has her open the vault, they'll do their best to find a cure. Of course, given Virginia's ominous warning about the vault, and the fact that the Armory has been shady as hell, he doesn't trust them and isn't turning her in anytime soon.
Also, he prolly recognizes she's being an idiot. Its like dude, if your sister is trapped in a magic vault, and something is keeping her alive after all this time and Alex keeps hearing Yvette crying for help, that's prolly not her! Hasn't she seen a horror movie?! She'll let out some monster possessing her sister!
Their current plan is to have Rayna release her connection to the magic keeping her alive, as Bonnie thinks she can use that energy to cure herself. Lucky for them, Rayna is tired, its just been centuries of the same old, same old. She's never had a day off because the vamps she's marked are always on her mind. She will actually agree to die, if they can kill all the vamps released so she can have just one day without vampires in her head.
It takes a while to get through to Stefan, but Damon convinces Alaric and Stefan to help on this multi-state vampire hunt. Which, the cuts show them all over the place, but the show wants us to believe this is only taking place within a 48 hour period. I mean, Enzo and the Salvatores can prolly go that long without rest, but Bonnie and Alaric are still human. And Bonnie's kinda dying!
So its two teams, Damon and Enzo and Bonnie, and then Alaric and Stefan. As I mentioned earlier, the former group's adventures are interspersed with Damon trying to get Bonnie to forgive him and her and Enzo being bf/gf and Damon being all sadface. They actually find Beau, who Damon quickly kills even though he helped save Caroline during her pregnancy. On the one hand, it is kinda dickish for Damon to not even hear Beau out, but on the other, they caught him post-slaughter, so its not like he was being a good guy.
As for Stefan and Alaric, they spend their time arguing over Caroline. Alaric says he was the one to pick up the pieces when Stefan ran away, and how she sad all the time, but eventually he and the girls were no longer placeholders. So, he's not pleased with Stefan trying to waltz in and ruin all that! Of course, Stefan hits back by saying he saw their house- there's a second bedroom. Plus, they're getting married by a Justice of the Peace, and the Caroline he knew wouldn't have a courthouse wedding. So he doesn't believe for a second things are so great between them. In any case, Caroline is back, and she sees Stefan, but has no desire to talk to him.
Heh, also I was wondering why Caroline was so upset, when Stefan was staying away from her because Rayna was hunting him, but it didn't occur to me the Armory had captured her before Damon went to sleep, so it was technically safe for him to reunite with her. I mean, to be fair, they didn't know what the Armory was doing with her, and she could've escaped and renewed her hunt. But her being temporarily neutralized was probably as good as they could hope for at the time, so they could've gotten back together, and then figure things out if it turns out they weren't safe. But instead, he ran off with an ex-girlfriend. Stefan excuses it as there being more to the story, and he needed to find out more about Rayna. But at the same time, since they didn't have her breathing down his neck, they could've figured it out together. So again, its really weird her ran way with another chick.
Of course, we also don't know what happened with Penny and why Matt blames him, so maybe that was just an excuse.
In the end, Damon calls Stefan. He's in the cellar where they're hiding Rayna, and she's been driven nuts by the voices. From the vignettes we saw, the gang collectively prolly killed more than a couple dozen vamps. But she's been scribbling, and it looks like they have a whole lot more to go, and Bonnie only has a week.
