OUAT- Ida know about this ep, parts of it were kinda sweet, but they also make little sense. So in the Enchanted Past, Hades shows up in Oz to help Zelena defeat Dorothy for the Scarecrow's brain so she can do a time travel spell to steal the life her sister has. He wants to use it to beat Zeus. But they have a weird bike ride on the way which makes Hades fall in true love with Zelena after like 20 minutes.
So, after they win, Hades wants to be with her, but she doesn't trust him- she thinks it some kinda trick! Who could love her (not to mention he's only known her for what seems like less than a day), he must be playing her. She assumes he's trying to steal the time travel spell away from her, because its what she would do. Hades claim his heart speaks true, but she can't believe it and tells him to go away.
In the Underbrooke present, Hades gets Rumpel to open a portal to the real world to get Zelena's baby. Only, it not only pulls her, but Zelena and Belle as well. Ha, Zelena twists her ankle upon reaching Underbrooke, so Belle snatches the baby to take it to safety, since she thinks Zelena a villain. Belle eventually runs into Rumple, who tells her she's preggers and he was helping Hades because way back when he made that deal to trade his second born to save Nealfire. And he finally admits he has his powers back. I mean, its slightly refreshing, and better than lying to her, I guess. He's all, he craves power, but he loves her, and trying to do it in secret never works, so eff it, he says he wants both. He tells Belle this has always been him, and if she loves him, she'll love all sides of him, not just the one that seems good. Which at this point, either break up with him for good, or don't and just go evil queen.
Heh, they don't show her getting pissed at her "friends", which she should be. I mean, they were willing to keep her in the dark about Rumpel having his powers back in order to secure his help!
But yeah, Zelena shows up at the apartment, and enlists her sister and Robin to help her find Belle and her (Zelena's that is) daughter. Which they eventually do. The rest of them don't trust Zelena with the baby though, but she insists she won't try anything, her magic isn't even working properly! But ha, she does get it back while holding the baby, refusing to give her back and running away. Eventually though, Zelena realizes she's harmful to her daughter, and eventually gives her back to Robin and her sister, telling them to take care of her for her, to protect her from Hades, who wants to use her for a time travel spell.
So Zelena goes to confront Hades saying he'll never have her baby, and once again he reiterates he doesn't care about the spell, he wants her. He was only trying to grab her daughter for her. He reveals that's why the Underworld looks like Storybrooke currently, so she could have what her sister had. He even tortured Cora to discover Zelena's birthday, which she never knew. But even though Hades is sincere, she still can't trust yet, because again, he hardly knew her! And she has esteem issues. So how could he be spouting true love?!
I mean, if Hades is for real, like I said, it would be sweet for her to finally get the love she's been craving, but again, it feels clunky, because it doesn't feel earned. These things work better when you show, not tell. Like WHY is Hades in love with her? Him just being all, "Oh, I felt something I haven't felt in years" just from the bike ride is clunky.
