The 100- Heh, how domestic. Lexa sleeping on the couch and Clarke drawing her. But its interesting that this ep delves into just how troublesome Clarke convincing Lexa that blood must not have blood is. So the Ice Nation gives them Emerson. Which proves to be politically troublesome for Clarke- Titus wants to kill him. Lexa doesn't want to, citing her new policy. But! Clarke wants to kill him too. And wow, Lexa looks totally disappointed in Clarke. She's all, "Oh, its okay not to retaliate if its my people, but you're all fine with it when its for your people?"
Clarke has a talk with Emerson, who apparently lost two children when she irradiated the place. Clarke realizes killing him would just be assuaging her own guilt rather than being true justice. So when it comes time to execute him, Clarke changes her mind, and Lexa backs her up. His punishment is to live, as the last of his kind, haunted by all those he lost. So the power couple speechifies about how times are a changing, and Titus is pissed.
So, he goes down to his dungeon, where he secretly has Murphy, and is torturing him for info on the mysterious pills. In that room is a mysterious pod labeled "Polis", but is actually "Polaris" with some of the letters scratched out. And what's the big deal about that?
Well, to answer that, we have to delve into the City of Light storyline. So, with Raven on board, it gets Thelonius a bunch of followers. Abby is suspicious, and eventually confronts Jaha about it, asking exactly what the pill is. ALIE gives him the okay to tell her the truth. Once ingested, filaments imbed itself in the brain, blocking out the pain center. Which doesn't sound good at all! Like pain sucks, but you need pain! I mean, Raven is feeling great, but isn't that pain telling her not to push her leg because its severely damaged? So isn't she hurting her leg unknowingly pressing on because it doesn't hurt anymore?
Abby doesn't think its good either. Especially when she invokes Wells, and Thelonious was "Who?" at first, only remembering when ALIE reminded him. So she takes his stash of chips. He's concerned. But ALIE is not worried, because they recruited Jackson at some point, who promises to watch her. Anyways, Raven was tasked with checking the Ark's computers for traces of another AI that was supposedly sent into space, "Becky". Raven couldn't find it, but Raven and Jaha remember their Ark history, and mention the mysterious 13th station, that was "scrubbed" before it could join with the 12 other stations. And as they bring that up, that is when we are shown the Polaris pod in Titus' torture chamber.
Its funny that this City of Light is leading to big things, but Pike and his followers are busy with their fight with the Grounders. They want to claim some land that would be quite arable, so Arkadia could grow food since they need food. That would involve forcibly removing a village on that land. Their scouting of the land needs to be on the down low, so Monty's mom and some guys almost kill a grounder boy who blunders into them. Octavia saves him, which proves helpful later.
She goes to warn the village when Kane and Miller find out Pike plans to make their move. But, since she's Skaikru, she almost gets killed if not for the boy. The villagers surprisingly agree to leave, but Octavia figures out its because they set a trap, seeding the area with sap that is both explosive and poisonous. They capture her, but she's able to break free before they ambush Bellamy's team. She warns them, but not quick enough to save Monroe, who dies of the released poison gas. Plus, the land is no longer viable because the poison has seeped in it.
So Pike is pissed that he lost some people and the land, and is no longer willing to suffer people to go against him. Its interesting, because Clexa are doing their best to try and make peace. But the Grounders and Skaikru seem determined to kill each other, like war is inevitable. And again, all these characters are busy with this conflict, and I'm sure ALIE and her stuff will end up throwing a huge monkey wrench in things once she finds her counterpart that was supposed to go into space.
