The 100- A few more thoughts, now that I don't have the time constraint of having to go to bed for the night. As you can gather from my last post, the Polis storyline was great, I just can't believe the Arkadia storyline played out like that. First off, I wonder if Jasper didn't run off and have a tantrum, forcing Monty to follow him, Monty could've talked some sense into his mom. And then maybe one less follower of Pike's calling for blood would've made all the difference.
I'm having a real hard time coming to terms with Bellamy's actions. I mean, he was a douche in the beginning of the first season, and he screwed up so bad. And I thought he got better in second season. I guess his feelings on the Grounders would be complex- he wasn't keen on the alliance with the Grounders in the second season, but he's met Indra, and Nyko, and Lincoln. I would think he would think they're all good people. Linc, especially, since he's with Octavia.
Like I get he just lost a girlfriend to Ice Nation treachery, and Echo played him for a fool. But she's Azgeda also. All the evils perpetrated this season were by the Ice Nation. I get Pike not seeing the difference, but Bellamy should know better. I suppose he thinks his other potential love interest, Clarke, has been brainwashed by the Grounders, why else would she choose them over him, but that's dumb.
And I can see trying to chase the Grounders around Arkadia off. But actually joining a raiding party with Pike to slaughter them all does not make sense! Also, I'm kinda pissed off at all the Arkadians also. I know they elected Pike, but they're really going to let this happen?! We don't see Abby, but surely Kane wouldn't have just sit idly by. Especially since he know its Indra leading the army out there. I get that he thinks it the people's will, but that's bullshit. When telling Pike not to do something incredibly stupid didn't work, surely he had enough followers (they said the election was incredibly close) to try and form a coup.
I get that can cause a bad precedent for their nascent government, but whatever, the victors write history. I mean, rebelling with force when you disagree with the current Chancellor is bad, but not if said Chancellor is going to start a freaking war for no good reason by killing some allies!
Heh, also, is Jason Rothenberg a troll? Heh, he posted on twitter prior to this ep that they're not here to pander to anyone, they're there to tell a compelling story. Since that came before an ep where it seemed Lexa might die, people were freaking out thinking that they were gonna kill Lexa off, and they weren't going to not kill her off to pander to Clexa-ers (Clexars?). But then he goes and makes Bellamy do something Clarke would prolly find incredibly reprehensible, putting a final nail in the coffin of Bellarke.
I know the writers and crew adore ADC, and even though she passed this potential hurdle to her continued existence, I'm going to be stressed all season that something might happen to her. Like I said in the pilot, that line about the City of Light was most troublesome, particularly since the season finale has Clarke and Lexa there. But, I think with the existence of Onatari, the baby Nightbloods will all have to die first before anything happens to Lexa.
Suits- As I keep saying, I wish this show would end so I could stop watching it. I want to see how it turns out, but seriously, these people! They're all a bunch of selfish, untrusting know it all pricks who are constantly misreading situations and bringing most of their problems on themselves. Things are getting slightly better at least, when Jessica get pissed at Louis, he doesn't make moves against her and Harvey anymore.
And Jessica seemed to be working on her attitude towards Louis, but what the frick, I get Louis snapped at her about the whole Jack thing, but instead of getting snippy back, at least mention that she got around to trusting Jack because he gave her the blackmail info Hardman had on him. Which, I kinda like he's throwing his lot in with them. Like he told his friend, he could play it safe and just jump ship. But he'd be in the same dead end position he is in now. But if he helps the gang and wins, he could get in on the spoils and be set for a promotion.
But seriously, what the hell is with everybody and their mother blowing holes in Mike and Rachel's relationship. Like I get Spencer warning her, saying there's no future with a fraud, because they'd always be waiting for the other shoe to drop. But then freaking Scottie this ep, all, "Oh, even if Mike is acquitted and then he stops practicing to avoid bringing any more hell down on them, he'll be all resentful because you'll get to practice law even though he knows he's better than you!" Like, that's an incredibly rude thing to say! Honestly, I actually have no idea if Mike would end up being resentful or not, but stop being a busy body, Scottie!
