Legends of Tomorrow- Aw, the team really does care for each other! Was the Ray talking about always wanting to be a spy a Chuck reference? Also, I get he's a handsome guy, but he's also a huge dork. That was presumptuous to think that him seducing that lady would be assured.
But heh, so both girls on the team are berserkers now?
The 100- Ha, I knew it! So Nia tries to perform a coup, calling for a vote of no confidence. (Heh, one of the older ambassadors says "Not so fast!" in Trigedasleng and I swear it sounds like he said "Slow your roll-o!") To resolve this conflict, of course it involves mortal combat. Nia nominates Roan, and Lexa of course fights for herself.
Clarke, having witnessed Roan's skill first hand, is totally freaking out that Lexa is toast, so she does everything she can to try to fix things. First she goes to Roan, trying to get him to turn on his mom. Then she seems to go to Nia and try and make a deal, that Clarke will change her vote if she vows to keep the alliance with Skaikru. Nia agrees, and Clarke is all, "okay, let us seal the deal in blood!" and cuts her palm, which she then wipes on her shirt sleeve, which was soaked with poison, the better to poison Nia with. Unfortunately, the girl hanging around with Nia, Ontari, notices the poison and stops the assassination attempt.
Nia doesn't kill Clark, instead bleeding Ontari on her. Why? To show Lexa that Nia has her own Nightblood. What's a Nightblood? They're the "potential" Hedas, all of whom have black blood. Such children are supposed to be sent to Polis to train to become the next Heda. Heh, indeed, for all of Lexa's bluster, she was kinda acting like she knew she would die, because she already set up Aiden as her successor and ensured he would honor the deal with Skaikru. Since she felt Clarke was taken care of, she could die without regret.
So Nia kinda messed up by showing she had her own Nightblood. She intended that as a taunt, that once she died, she'd install her own person as Heda. So I think that motivated Lexa to win, because if she lost, all that she built would be destroyed, and Clarke's life would be forfeit. But yeah, since we saw Lexa throwing a spear outside the arena in one of the clips in the pre-season trailer, I had a feeling she was going to end things by killing Nia. After all, Titus said the fight can only end in death. They didn't say it had to be one of the combatants deaths.
So with his mom dead, Lexa declares Roan the new Ice King. And then Clarke and Lexa give each other heart eyes in sexy nightgowns that night.
In the other plots, Jasper cries and bitches a lot, and Monty has had enough. Also, Lexa sent an army to Arkadia to protect them from the Ice Nation just in case. Pike sees it as a hostile action, and convinces Bellamy to help him and his loyal followers by giving them guns so they can slaughter the Grounders. Bellamy ends up doing so, leading to a showdown at the gates- Harpoe end up standing aside, but Lincoln is unrelenting. So Pike takes him hostage, but Abby and Kane show up just in time to arrest the conspirators.
Only Pike is all, maybe he'd be a better chancellor than Kane. And Bellamy starts up a chant of "Pike!" And so Pike is new chancellor. And his first act is to grab some guns and slaughter the grounder army outside. Which, what the shit?! Okay, its one thing to let this fucking idiot become chancellor, but I can't believe the rest of the Arkadia would stand idly by as he and his people stepped outside to slaughter an army sent to protect them.
