Suits- Heh, as I've said before, as much as I enjoy the show, I'm still surprised I watch it because its so frustrating and stressful. There's always such mistrust between everyone, and it often seems like every little thing can blow up in their faces in ways they never expected. Like Harvey's forced resignation to get Forstman, Jack and Hardman to back off. He was doing that to save the firm. But just because it happened to occur at the exact same time as Mike's resignation and arrest. Since this show is all about the story you can tell from the evidence, it totally looks like they both resigned to protect the firm.
Of course, with Anita going after them full bore, it actually provides a solution (for now, I'm sure there are unforeseen complications) to the Forstman problem. Since the US attorneys are looking for Mike to point the finger at someone, he tells Jack he could claim Jack knew. Mike tells Rachel Jack will back off, but I don't think at any point we see Jack say, "Okay, you got me!" and even if he did, could you really trust him.
(Heh, and if he did say he would back off, its par for the show's course to have some other conflict with other characters somehow piss him off and cause him to renege on the deal)
Its interesting, because we don't know who turned Mike in. The list of people who know before tonight:
Mike
Harvey
Donna
Rachel
Jessica
Louis
hacker girl who hacked into Harvard and the NY Bar (apparently her name is Lola?)
Scottie
Trevor
Mike's real life wife/Spencer from PLL
Mike's priest
Robert finds out tonight. I dunno if Jack counts- I mean, he suspects, but I don't think Mike admitted it, he just said he'd point the finger at Jack. So I'm not sure if he knows for sure.
Maybe I'm reading too much into things, but perhaps something happened with that Lola chick? Because Anita mentions "if Mike is smart enough to hack in to the Bar..." but maybe that's just her being presumptive, because otherwise, how could he be in the Bar? But on the other hand, isn't that kinda specific evidence? I mean, a lot of people know, and again, they could presume Mike hacked into the Bar, but honestly it seems most of the people on the list wouldn't have wondered about the specifics. They know he's a fraud, I doubt they'd be concerned with every exact detail.
In any case, surely it can't be any of the main characters, unless they pull some crazy twist, where they accidentally or unintentionally let someone know and told someone else offscreen. (which would be slightly BS) But everyone else, I dunno, maybe I'm too trusting, but I believe them. Like I see Scottie as a total wildcard now, but I doubt she'd want to start up all this shit when she was already free of the drama. Trevor would normally be a prime suspect, but I don't think it fits- he's all born again and whatever, saying he doesn't support Mike's lies, and it would make him hypocritical to lie himself and say he has nothing to do with it. The priest seems very unlikely, like would he really break his oaths to tell the US attorney that some guy he knows who is mostly a nice guy is lying about being a lawyer? I don't want to believe its Spencer either, because that seems kinda twisted, for her to go up to Mike and Rachel and say she's not going to say anything, but they should prolly break up because there's no future for them, and then go ahead and still turn them in.
But yeah, they're starting to circle the wagons, but they have a LOT of loose ends. Robert will prolly do anything to keep his daughter safe. Scottie admits she doesn't know what she's going to do. And Trevor says he's turned a new leaf, but he's kinda been an asshole before. And again, this show is all about unforeseen circumstances and conflicts blowing up and people fucking things up further out of pure pettiness, so who knows how all this will go. Is this the last season? It seems like this conflict would be the logical endgame for the series.
Owel, Louis fires Donna to prove his loyalty- he gives her up because he knows the rest of them need her. And Jessica actually apologizes to him. Of course, again, who knows how long that will last on this show.
