TV commentary:

The Fosters- So we find out why Jesus is back- apparently some kids on the team were on steroids and wanted him to take steroids. He tried it and wanted to stop, but now he was stuck because if he tried to quit, the Coach would ask him why, and he'd have to give up the other guys, and they'd prolly kill him. So he decided to move back home.

Too bad there's a waiting list. Monte (who offered to quit her job if it make things less awkward for Stef, but they decide its not necessary) says some kid left for military school, so his spot is Jesus' since he was a student previously. Lena is worried that people might be mad, but Monte is whatever, its her call, and Stef is, "you've done so much for the school, they owe you!". So obviously that's going to blow up in their faces.

Oh, Lexi is also back, she and her family got visas. She and Emma still don't like each other. But heh, this time they're not feuding over Jesus, they're fighting over Mariana.

AJ's grandma dies during the break, so Mike decides not to follow through on the fingerprints because he doesn't want to take away AJ's last remaining family. Too bad the guy he gave them to already checked it, and he gave the results to Stef since Mike wasn't around. So Stef knows, and is pissed and wants to throw the book at this kid, and furious at Mike for trying to bury it. Mike says he's just getting through to AJ, he doesn't want to ruin it by arresting his brother. To be fair, Ty did almost kill Ana and Jesus and Mariana and the baby, but in the end, they were all fine, so I think its not a big deal to wait until after the funeral.

Too bad Ty says some cops have been coming around, and he tells AJ about the accident, and AJ figures out that he's the one who hit the twins and their birth mom. Ty wants to run, and gives his brother an ultimatum, be with him on the bus, or never see him again. AJ chooses his brother, even though he just asked Callie out to some mini-Comic Con thing.

Oh, and some lady shows up wanting to invest 50K with Callie's Fost and Found app. But she seems really shady.

Other stuff, Stef's mom is dating some douche who's all anti-establishment and hates cops. Brandon is up for Julliard, but doesn't want to further tax his moms finances. Connor moves away. Lena gets Connor's dad to "not let his son give up on him." To his credit, he tries, but its too late. His dad does apologize to Jude for not getting it, and they hug over their shared loss.

The ep ends with someone on the Fost and Found message board asking Callie if she slept with her foster brother.

The Magicians- So there are elements to the story that are intriguing Its too bad I can't stand anyone but Alice with her cute nerd girl looks. And I guess Julia's not bad either. But ugh, Quentin is a hipster douche. Penny is a dick, which speaks to his dickiness if I'd choose Quentin over him in their little feud. The hedge witch group Julia joins, the one guy seems like a smug a-hole, and Marina is a frakking krant. I'm not too keen on Eliot and Margo since they act like they're so effin cool.

But like I said, I'm curious where things are headed, so I'll continue to check this out.
