Hmm, looking at the TV schedule in the upcoming weeks, it seems like there's even more TV than the Fall?! How is that possible?! Like Monday through Wednesday are ridiculously full. I mean, I guess USA and Freeform show a bunch of stuff in the winter, and now SyFy actually has shows during the week (not Friday) again. Thank god we live in a world of DVRs and streaming, otherwise I'm not sure we'd have everything covered.

TV commentary:

Degrassi- I guess Degrassi has been showing in Canada for the past couple of weeks, but I guess in the US it moved to Netflix. But those eps just came out today. Only through the first couple so far. I wonder if mental illness runs in the Hollingsworth family. Because the kids are all kinda nuts and depresso. Like, the second ep was interesting, because Miles and Frankie I think were feeling very similar sentiments- they're miserable and they're sick of people telling them to just be okay. Frankie was scared her friends want her to be "the old her" and she'll lose them if she doesn't go back to that, and Miles' making that speech in class where people don't actually care and they want you to be smiles and not rock the boat and make everyone uncomfortable. It would've been interesting if the siblings actually saw the similar feelings they were feeling and help each other.

And what the, now Grace apparently has had cystic fibrosis this whole time and has been keeping it a secret and doesn't expect to live past 30? I'm liking the Gracevas stuff so far, but I'm actually spoiled for the season and kinda pissed that they don't work out. I mean, I shouldn't be surprised, Degrassi can't let any couple be happy, they love to destroy every coupling eventually.

Speaking of, I'm also annoyed at the inconsistency- the first ep ended with Zig all pissed that Maya chose that one guy to be the lead guitarist of the band because he's better than Zig. So then he claims Maya never wants to spend time together and her music is stupid and she has to choose between him and her music. But apparently not, because the next ep they're all happy and smiles and acting like nothing's different.

Oh, when Goldi got mad at Tristan for the bullshit of the election, he was right to turn Miles in for breaking the spending limit. But at the same time, he should've dropped out too, because his petty bitching at the debate makes it clear he's no leader. Like when he was all, she's right, I figured he realized both he and Miles screwed up, and was going to take them both out of the running. But he just turned in Miles, which actually just makes him look like a petty dick. If he wasn't going to drop out, they should've at least had a scene where he apologizes to Goldi and is all, "I'm serious about the student council thing!" Although I guess maybe he is just a jerk, and all Goldi's statement did was give him ammunition he could use to win.
