NCIS- Hmm, some interesting Ducky backstory. Turns out, his father remarried a frakking krant, and they had a son 20 years Ducky's senior. Duckie adored his little half bro, but when his stepmom divorced his dad, she got sole custody and wanted to take him away from them. She never wanted him to see them again. What an effin bitch! Particularly since Ducky was more of a parent to his brother than either of his actual parents. So she's a lousy mom who just wanted take the kid away to spite Ducky and his father.
It was nice to see all the callbacks to Ducky's past, even if I'm a little skeptical about some of them. Maybe I'm not remembering it well enough, but I got the impression he and Angus hadn't spoken to each other after the stuff with Maggie. But apparently not! Its like "Oh, you got with the girl I love! I'm never speaking to you again!" Well, except for the time Ducky needed him to try and get custody of Nicholas!
But it was cool to find out that all the traveling Ducky did with the military (which he was able to do because he saved a particular general's life) was trying to find his brother. And apparently the stepmom's relatives lied to him and said they died in a car accident, ending his search, which is how he ended up in that one Afghan refugee camp.
Anyways, it was bittersweet though, that he found his brother after nearly 40 years, but his brother is in the early stages of Alzheimer's.
And it looks like Ellie and Apollo are dunzo. He tried to blame the affair on them being apart because she moved to NCIS, and they couldn't talk to each other about their work anymore because of national security and all that. He wanted to move past the affair, but Ellie couldn't. If them changing jobs and not being together every day is enough to make him stray, then her relationship isn't what she thought it was and doesn't want to repair it.
