TV commentary:

The Originals- That's total BS! So Vincent and Marcel's plan to protect Davina from the Strix is to expose her culpability in killing that one dude's mom, causing her to get shunned and lose access to her magic. Which just seems like a dumb way to protect her- Oh no, the Strix want her to use her to cast a spell, lets solve that by taking her away her magic, so now she has no way to defend herself from all the enemies she has/people who want to get to them through her.

Also, it was ridiculous that the witches were trying to mutiny in the first place. I guess they're confident in their magic to take on the vamps and the Mikaelsons, but they should know by now that that is folly. And they want to oust the one witch the vamps actually DO like?!

But yeah, turns out Aurora dumped Rebecca at the bottom of the ocean, killed the vamps who did the dumping, and split the latitude and longitude coordinates into two envelopes, she knows one, and her brother knows the other. That way the Mikaelsons can't kill either of them. Which again, is a little presumptuous. Yes, the ocean is a big place, but the Mikaelsons are also immortal. It may take them a REALLY long time, but they'd eventually find her! I mean, if Damon is willing to wait a hundred years for Elena, surely they have as much patience. Hell, the Mikaelsons have at one point or another have been under for a century or more. It would suck for Rebecca to be gone for that long, but its nothing new.

The Mikaelsons end up calling that bluff, they take Tristan by force at their special dinner party- if Aurora doesn't bring back Rebecca, Klaus will kill him. Too bad Lucien had captured Cami, and while he had no choice but to give her up once the Mikaelsons got the upper hand, Cami managed to escape on her own... only to run into an angry Aurora. And unlike Rebecca, Cami is a hostage with a fleeting lifespan. So now she has leverage again.

I guess I'm still confused about the prophecy. From the sounds of it, the siblings and Lucian really were trying to protect their sires from the prophecy- keeping them sealed away keeps the Mikaelsons alive, and thus the rest of them alive. They claim the theatrics were because if they just want straight forward and warned them about the prophecy and vowing to protect them, the Mikaelsons wouldn't have believed them and expected some sort of treachery.

But yeah, after the events of tonight, the Mikaelsons think its all over, as they thought their first childer were the threats. However, Elijah sees the aftermath of the dinner table, and recognizes it as from the vision he got from the seer.

Other stuff- Jackson is mad that Hayley jumps whenever the Mikaelsons call. Which what does he expect? Klaus is the father of her daughter! And she's friends with the rest of the Mikaelsons. Also, half the time, if there's a threat against them, there's a threat against her. Like he's all, "Oh, we can go to the bayou, I can protect you!" Its like dude, if something manages to take out the Mikaelsons, you won't be able to do jack! Even if the Mikaelsons are dicks half the time, helping them is the prudent thing to do.
