TV commentary:

The Librarians- Cool ep! Heh, I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who felt Wexler was reminiscent of Silas U from Carmilla. But cool, Beth Riesgraf! I'm surprised it took this long for them to have one of the other Leverage folks on this. So she plays a lady of the lake, and they invited Cassandra into their special Lady of the Lake club, but she declines.

Interesting though, they're all, that's cool, but the offer will always be waiting for you. Jenkins though warns her that they're a little dangerous, since they lack the Library's prudence, and tells her to watch out. Though they didn't seem very threatening even though she turned down her offer? Or is he worried that one day they might seduce her away? I guess he was also implying Morgan Le Fay was part of their organization (I guess he would know).

Everything Cassandra said in this ep, I don't think she's wrong. I think its the next logical step when Flynn made them all Librarians and thought they should be trained. Like he said, the reason the previous Librarians had such a low life expectancy is because they recruit albeit incredibly smart and talented people, but they still throw them out of their comfort zone and into a world of magic. They need training wheels, a place to learn and understand. And then you have people like Lucy, who figure things out for themselves. She's a talent, so they should be fostering her knowledge, heck, maybe even make her a library in training. And I'm sure there are tons of people out there like her. After all, when Flynn applied, there seemed to be dozens (if not hundreds) of other prospective choices. And this show proved that many of those candidates are also qualified.

So instead of just interviewing these people, choosing the best as the only one to enlighten, interview to see if they're worthy, and bring them in. They don't have to be full Librarians, but it does make the job easier for whoever takes over if they have some foreknowledge of what they're gonna do.

Also, I like how the show can make you feel sorry for things like Excalibur or Stumpy, but its kinda messed up that two actual people were devoured, but the only remorse we see is for Stumpy. Still, poor Stumpy, maybe Ezekiel can fix him.
