TV commentary:

Vampire Diaries- Heh, I bet a lot of people are pissed about this week's flashforward. So, apparently in the future, Caroline is a news producer in Houston or something. And she has a fiancee, who her assistant says called saying they have to go back to Mystic Falls. So I'm sure people were all egg-cited thinking this fiancee was Stefan. But the second flashforward at the end of the ep, her assistant mentions a call from Stefan Salvatore, who is definitely not her fiancee and whom she apparently hates now. And then her assistant gets a stake through his throat, while she gets one in the chest (though it doesn't look like it kills her, so I guess it missed her heart)

So yeah, Lily's pissed at the death of Malcolm, so she takes a tactic back from when she was actually a mother to her sons- take away their toys. She takes away their house by having Nora and Mary Louise ambush Matt when he tries to save two idiot teens who snuck into MF because it was abandoned all mysteriously. Indeed, in class Alaric tells students, yes, a real life modern ghost town sounds cool, but warns them away saying they'll get in trouble with the law. But I digress, they drain Matt of the vervain in him. Which people were complaining that it happened to quickly, etc. They're effin vampire-witches, when magic is involved all bets are off. They could've magicked the vervain out of him, used magic to keep him unconscious or whatever.

In any case, they sign over the house to Matty, compel him to never invite the Salvatores over, and then make him forget all that? At least that's what I think happened. I'm a little confused, because they have Bonnie temporarily stop Matt's heart to kill him for a short while (too bad Bonnie ends up passing out from a horrible vision she had from the "Phoenix Stone" Alaric possesses) so the Salvatores can break in to try and rescue Caroline. Can't they just tell him to invite them in? So like I said, my only guess is they compelled him to be unable to? Which, can you do that? I mean, I guess Klaus made Stefan forget he ever knew him, so I suppose compulsions can go deep. But I think if Davina has ways of breaking compulsions, Bonnie theoretically can too?

In any case, their plan fails. Mostly because Lily takes Elena's body and hides it, telling Damon to leave MF forever if he wants Elena safe. And then I guess the manse gets signed over to Lily's cleaning lady, who kicks Stefan out, but allows Caroline to remain inside so they can continue to hold her hostage. Oh, and Valerie apparently makes Caroline's skin vervain-ish so that other vamps touching her get burned. Ostensibly its to protect her from the torture of Mary Louise, who's mad at her for making Nora feel bad. But Mary Louise informs Valerie isn't as nice as she seems, and that she's way worse than she and Nora. And that she has an ulterior motive- apparently Stefan met and was in love with Val way back in 1863!

But yeah, in the aftermath, the brothers agree that they'll let their mother think her tactic succeeded, and that by punishing the boys, she turned them against each other, with each blaming the other for what happened. In the mean time, Damon will look for the sixth heretic (who, interestingly enough is played by Cho from the Mentalist!)

Other stuff, as mentioned before Bonnie had a creepy vision from the phoenix stone. She insists Alaric destroy it. But he's an idiot, so he doesn't. Indeed, he even experiments on one of the dead kids that Nora and Mary Louise killed. And by placing it on the kid's chest, he temporarily awakens, but goes dead again when Alaric removes the stone.

Speaking of Bonnie, the reason Lily is so mad is because even though Damon is all, he did it alone, she knows he couldn't have. So she's doing this to get him to reveal his accomplice, which there's only one possible candidate! Still, apparently everyone is dense, and he continues to protect Bon-bon. Heh, of course, Matty is all, this is all Damon's fault and keeps shit-talking him the entire ep, until Bonnie finally confesses he's actually protecting her.

Oh, and wth? Enzo basically confesses he loves Lily. But not as a mother like the heretics! He gets all flirty, shocking Lily! But she's not entirely un-receptive to his rogue-ish, English accented, guitar playing charms. Hey, I think its a hilarious development!

The Originals- Whoops! So Davina temporarily breaks the Crescent Moon curse with a special candle that suspends the curse until it goes out (which the ancestors almost snuff, but she manages to convince the ancestors to keep the flame going because she needs Hayley in her fight against Klaus) In exchange, she gets Hayley to murder that witch who attacked her. Too bad after she does, some witches show up all, "she killed our friend!" and try to kill her. So Hayley is forced to massacre a whole bunch of witches.

So Davina feels ultra guilty, and the original witch's son knows Davina did something, and vows to take her down.

Meanwhile, Logan (I still don't remember his name on this) learns a little more about the mysteries of NOLA. He doesn't come close to finding out about the supernatural, but he knows Cami and he family are either a cause, or covered up a lot of weird stuff over the years.

Also, the gang finds out Lucien is behind Kingmaker, so Elijah and Jackson attack him. Two things, apparently barrier spells can be set up to only block certain bloodlines. And after Jackson bites him and Klaus invites him over to get cured, looks like Lucien has his own vials of a cure.

But yeah, apparently he is at war with Tristan, so he's here to ensure Tristan doesn't kill Klaus, which as I said before, taking someone out by going after a different target makes sense, but if and only if that target is weaker! Yes, killing one of the Mikaelsons gets rid of hundreds or even thousands of vamps in one felled swoop, but they're way harder to kill than any of those vampires. Lucien claims he won't go after Elijah to deal with Tristan, because he knows Klaus and Rebekah would hunt him until the end of his days. Guess Tristan isn't worried about that?

Speaking of, looks like he's heading to NOLA. Also, he keeps Aurora locked in that monastery for her protection and the protection of others since apparently she's kinda nuts.

Other stuff, apparently Hayley has Hope back, and is going to live across the street from Klaus with Jackson? For some reason Klaus allows this. Even though Hayley has to know the un-cursing is only temporary, so does she really want to be around her daughter when she and Jackson could turn at any moment?

Also, Freya verifies the prophecy is true, that the three siblings have a darkness around them. That, and one will be taken down by friend, one by foe, and the other by family.
