Degrassi- Still catching up. But really, what the frick?!! So Claire and Eli's baby ends up being stillborn? (is that the right term? She didn't give birth, but it died in her womb) I think what really brings it home on how effed up it all is is when she and Eli are going on a trip to NY where she'll demand to be re-accepted by Columbia, and she had been doing better and then she sees the frame with a baby and she's all thinking of saying, "If you think me overcoming cancer was a great example of overcoming diversity, wait til you hear about me losing my baby!"
Because really, what the shit! She gets cancer, she goes into remission and then gets knocked up, decides to keep it because it might be her only chance to have a baby. And then it dies! And it really is frustrating. When she got cancer, that's when she thought her dreams were lost to her forever. Then she got better, and it was possible for her to achieve her goals again. But then she put them on hold for her baby, and it ended up being for naught!
In any case, it looks like she and Eli will recover from this devastating lost.
It was nice to see Maya and Tristan finally make up. But then Maya and Zig finally give into their feelings and admit they might love each other. She tells her mom, who's supportive, but she can't allow Zig to live in the house anymore. Maya tries to take it back, but obviously she can't. Zig isn't too worried, and I know he's riding off the high of wanting to do anything to make it work so he can be with Maya, but he has no place to live, with gang people prolly wanting to pull him back in or beat him up. It is kinda a big deal. Of course, Maya is all, she'll move out and live with Tristan. Instead of her doing that, why not see if Zig can live with one of these other folks then?
The thing with Arlene and Hunter was kinda cute. Him being an awkward dork, he tries going the secret admirer route, only to have that plan crash and burn when she's all, "What kinda loser would do this? He might be a psycho killer!" So he promises to stay with her to meet this guy to make sure she's safe. Obviously, no one shows up since he's the admirer, but despite all her talk, she's kinda hurt no one showed. And then when she's all, "do you think this was some kinda prank?" to Hunter (which wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility given she used to be bullied by Lola and Shay) the idiot is all, "IDK, maybe!?" Which causes her to be all, "Oh, so the only possibility is that it would only be a joke?"
Which, I get it, he's in a tough spot, because the way she's talking, he's scared if he admits things, she'll hate him, but try to say something a little more encouraging dude! But, the next day, she is touched that he stayed with her and she values their friendship, so he's glad to take the out and pretend none of that ever happened.
