Finding Carter- Ha, MTV is hilarious! Why the hell would you, before the first commercial break, have a promo all, "You're just a few moments away from this shocking thing that's about to happen!" and then show said shocking thing, a full half hour before it actually happens on the show. Way to ruin the surprise! So Carter hems and haws, and eventually goes to visit Lori since her Doctor said it would be good for her, which, Ida know. When Carter gets there, Lori's all cold and ignoring her and says she shouldn't have come, but then after Carter leaves, she's all, "I knew my daughter loved me!" Like, isn't that like a relapse or something? Its like, here's this lady who's obsessed with this girl who is technically her biological daughter, but not legally hers because Carter was a product of her egg donation, and who kidnapped Carter. Let's shove Carter in her face and see what happens!
(Not that the institution seems to be the most ethical, given random nurse is calling Madison with updates about Lori. But more on that later?)
But yeah, Carter is pretty upset over the cold shoulder. Because Lori did still raise her, and was a mother to her for most of her life. Sure, because she kidnapped her, but she didn't know that at the time! So she breaks down in Max's arms, and then they totally do it! What the shit?! That seemed out of the blue.
And of course when Carter gets back, Taylor talks about how great a sister she is, and brings up the sister code. I'm guessing she'll flip out once she finds out Carter and Max had sex. I'm still wondering, since they keep bringing up Lori was mentally ill, that Taylor will be also.
Other stuff, I can see Liz freaking out about Carter running off to see Lori. I mean, David says to not worry, but unlike her, he's still a biological parent of Carter and Taylor. There's nothing genetic between them, and Carter and Liz were separated for most of Carter's life. Its not too crazy for Liz to fear that since there isn't anything connecting them, that Carter could just up and go back to Lori.
Getting back to Madison, its weird, because in the beginning of the ep, she was playing the used card. Like Lori manipulating her since her parents abandoned her for being gay, all, "Oh, you're alone, why don't you convince Carter to leave the Wilsons and you guys can get an apartment together!" And Madison acted hurt and thought it was all diabolical. But as I said above, she's getting secret updates from the nurse, so its seems there's more going on.
But yeah, when she spent the whole day with Bird, I figured they were going there. I mean, Bird had no prospects currently, so sure, why not have her get with Madison?
