Went and saw Equilibrium with Krug. Yeah, I know. I went to the theater and didn't see Two Towers for the second time in as many days. cliffV('What's up with that?!') Krug and I both had problems with some of the concepts presented in the movie. While its supposed to be a dystopia and obviously not supposed to work, they kinda glossed over how that society functioned. I mean, it has a bad part to it, but there's supposed to be some sort of functional aspect as well. Or else how could such a system come into being? Just saying there is no more war/murder/hate is kinda weak. Like, while I do have fascist tendencies, I abhor the censorship or destruction of the products of human creativity. I mean, I can't even concieve of how you stifle that! But I guess that's the point. And they were drugged. But seriously, they have all that fancy technology, and they don't have an automated way of administering the doses?! We were just talking about those diabetic pumps that people wear. Surely they would have done something like that so you eliminate the human factor and dose everyone automatically. Or like have an internal resevoir surgically implanted and you have one of those rubber seal things that you can inject drugs into and people have to get it regularly filled or die. I mean, if they're going as far as they're going, why wouldn't they do something like that? And while the jury seems to be out on whether gun katas are cool or lame, I think its pretty innovative and interesting.

Owel, afterwards, we met Scott at Lohmann's plaza to have dinner at St. Charles. Alas, no Jennie the waitress there. Actually, no female waitresses at all. I must've driven them all away! ha! But seriously, just hung out talked about death, love, life (or something like it). Okay, nothing that deep. Just shot the bull, asked what's the what. Had a delicious oreo cheesecake for dessert. We also hit Oxford afterwards. Too bad I leave tomorrow, there's a couple of movies I want to rent there, which I'll obviously have to wait next year to do. Heard about "Shiri" from an airsoft site. They make it sound interesting. Scott picked up "My Neighbor Totoro" for Sato. Which was freaky, because Tara pointed it out to me at Media Play Wednesday night. Its really popular I guess.

Oh, and apparently I'm an open book. I'm like ojv('Man, its obvious!')
