Daredevil- Almost through with the series. Of the MCU shows so far, it definitely beats out AoS, perhaps even Agent Carter. Some random thoughts under the cut. I love how the crazy coincidences ended up setting a certain narrative to the other characters, or the regular people of the MCU. Like when Matt went after the Russians at the same time Fisk made his big move to take them out, which ended up totally crucifying the "Devil of Hell's Kitchen" in the Media. And after, him going after the one crooked cop in the hospital at the exact same time his partner was tasked with killing him, so again, it looks like Matt is a cop-killer. And then Wesley going after Karen, and then her shooting him in the wake of Vanessa getting poisoned, so Fisk thinks its whoever attacked the benefit who killed Wesley as yet another strike.
I also like how the Hand and K'un-Lun were floating around the edges of all this- as I said, the show is mostly street level, but you have mystical stuff like that not really being delved into too much, but hinting at a power level greater than what we see. Heh, I was a little annoyed by Stick. Like this Black Sky stuff sounded incredibly scary and dangerous, but Matt tries to stop Stick from killing it because its a kid. And Stick doesn't try to defend it, like instead of bitching at Matt for being a weak cry baby, maybe you could convince him that its this mystical thing that could destroy the world like the audience assumes.
But yeah, the show really makes you feel for these characters, and not just the good guys. Like the stuff with Ben and his wife were sad, and it was heartbreaking to see Matt and Foggy fighting when Foggy learned Matt was the Daredevil. But you even feel sorry for the Kingpin when Vanessa got hurt, and even though Wesley was threatening Karen at the time, I felt kinda sad when he died, and Fisk was standing watch over Vanessa, trying to reach him, not knowing his best friend was just killed trying to protect him.
