PLL- Finally, the Emily/Hanna dancing seen in the previews for the back half of season 5. spcv('Nice!') So Hanna hires a pageant coach, and it goes awful. She can't even come up with an answer to the practice questions, and then claims her talent is dancing. So, she gets Emily to coach her and they practice all day and seriously, Hanna and Emily look friggin HOTT. She freaks out when Caleb shows her a sign up sheet which shows Kate having entered the pageant. She's so angry she messes up her routine when the coach finally watches her. But its not that the only thing she has going for her is she's pretty and she's terrible at everything else. Her heart's not in it, all she wants is money and to beat Kate, and that's going to be obvious to the judges.
So she says it wouldn't be right taking Hanna's money for an impossible task. Emily, however, she likes what she sees. Eventually, the girls find out that Kate entering was an A fake out and Emily decides to enter to win the money for Hanna.
Its not like she has anything else going on- she finally meets Talia's husband, who claims she told him Em was just an experiment. So, looks like they're not as broken up as Em thought. She doesn't want to be a phase for Talia. So, Em kicks her to the curb.
Spencer, has apparently turned into an idiot. So, Jonny finds out the mural they painted is being sold at an art gallery as separate pieces. He's livid that this gallery owner is making money off his stolen work. Well, for one thing, as the guy said, since the mural was an act of vandalism that Hollis was getting rid of, it was basically being sent to the garbage until someone sent it his way. So, its not Jonny's at all. Is what the gallery owner doing shady? Yes. Is it illegal? Not at all.
But what is illegal? Breaking in and stealing the paintings. Toby catches and arrest Jonny, and Spence gets mad for what Toby says is doing his freaking job!! So, its immoral for a gallery owner to sell art that's not is, but it isn't to try and get your cop bf to basically turn a blind eye to a crime being committed? Also, Toby finally tells her why he's been staying away- Tanner wants to use him againt Spencer, so he's not giving her a chance to use her.
In any case, Spencer just won't listen, and after Mrs. Hastings bails Jonny out of jail then evict his criminal ass, Spencer kisses his starving artist ass. Playing it up all, "Ida know what I'll do, maybe just live in my car". Oh please.
Aria uses Andrew's little crush on her to spy on Mike (which I'm sure will totally backfire later, because as it is, Andrew's thinking Mike is some dangerous type who might hurt Aria) He points Aria to something Mike stashed in the woods. Aria goes to find it late and night and sees its a vial of blood. She thinks its hers or one of the other girls, but Mike says its Mona's. Which freaks Aria out and she drops it and it shatters. She quickly flees.
Mike eventually catches up with her at home, and Aria is frightened for her life because she thinks the blood means Mike killer her. But he explains- Mona had been drawing and collecting her own blood to frame Ali for killing her, in order to get in A's good graces. Then once she found out who A was, she could expose them, free Ali from jail, and the liars would be safe. I like how they constructed it in a way that wasn't just out of the goodness of Mona's heart. I liked her being all, "And then everyone will praise me as a hero!" Which fits perfectly with her psyche.
So, she let Mike in on the plan, which is why he wasn't too broken up by Mona's death, because he thought she was faking. But not that she's never met him at all the times they were scheduled to rendezvous, he knows something is wrong. That's why he visited Ali, to see if she knew who A was so he could figure out what happened to Mona. And he knows for sure Ali couldn't have killed Mona, because she was out of town with Cyrus. And he's all sad because that vial was the last piece of Mona he had left, which was why he was trying to hide it from his sister.
In the end, the Liars know Ali isn't A, and that Mike is not a bad guy. But the end tag has A break into Mike's room and use a wrench for something. They made a point of mentioning all his new workout equipment when the Liars were snooping in his room. Will A sabotage one of those things to hurt him?
