TV commentary:

Justified- Okay, I'm getting a kick out of this season guest stars. I mean, we saw Garret Dillahunt last week, but he's associating with Steve Smith (playing a character called Seabass!) and Buddy Garrity.

So it looks like Garret Dillahunt's character, Ty Walker (its kinda funny how he can be so goofy on Raising Hope, but scary as fuck in a lot of his other roles, like its not like he even tries to be scary, there's just something freaky and offputting in his mannerisms- Burn Notice, Sarah Connor Chronicles, that Bruce Willis/Joseph Gordon Levitt time travel movie), is part of a "private security outfit" called Tigerhawk security with Seabass, as this big dumb mf named Choo-Choo, who's kinda hilarious. Apparently they sought Calhoun's (Buddy Garrity) services to buy up property. And when people were reluctant self, that's when Ty would show up acting all affable but really just menacing. They possibly work for a mustache-less Sam Elliot (because Ty has a boss, and here's a boss-like new player showing up all of a sudden), who's sleeping with Ted Danson's wife, you know the lady Duffy partnered with last season.

Its a case where everything seems to be coming together- turns out Calhoun was the specific target of the robbery, because Katherine and Duffy tasked Boyd with finding $3 million Calhoun had. As we saw last week, Boyd did not find $3 million, so he's kinda annoyed because his crew was expecting a cut, and Katherine and Duffy have the nerve to ask if he took the money for himself. If he had, he surely wouldn't be talking to them.

Boyd stashed the ledger at Ava's, before blackmailing Calhoun, since he realizes Calhoun has partners that might not like the fact that the ledger has been stolen. Two things- first, Ty is around when the Marshalls question Calhoun about the robbery and his stuff being stolen. He denies anything was, but its obvious he's trying to hide the fact that there was something to steal from Ty. Ty still wants to check out the robbery after Raylan and Tim leave, because even if nothing was stolen, its the kinda thing the boss still wants to hear about. Calhoun gets a call in the middle of this, from Boyd, blackmailing him for return of the ledger.

Meanwhile, Ava found the stashed documents, and shows them to Raylan since he's been pressuring her. She's excited she did good, until Raylan posits maybe Boyd planted them there for Ava to find to expose her. So she freaks out, but then shows she has the biggest balls of anyone on this show- Boyd returns to find her and the documents gone. So, she effin turns it on him, all, "I heard about that robbery, and I knew you were going around my barn, so I found those documents, and they must really be important if you left them there where they could be found, and jeopardize the parole of me, your fiancee!" So its an entirely plausible story, that she mistrusts him (she does), and was contemplating getting rid of the evidence, as she was in jail in the first place because of some shit she did. So, Boyd seems to believe her for now.

But anyways, since Raylan knows about the ledger, he questions Calhoun, who's too much of a pussy to talk, so his mistress does the talking- he was buying up land for Ty's people, but then realized they're pretty freaking shady, so he kept a ledger of their transactions to protect himself, and that Boyd was showing up later to blackmail him over it.

So when Boyd shows up, Raylan intercepts him and takes the documents back, but can't arrest Boyd, as he claims he miraculously found those documents on the side of the road and was just returning them. I mean, its an obvious lie, but there's not enough there to get Boyd for something substantive.

Anyways, Boyd is sad that his endeavor didn't work out, but Ava continues to show her massive balls by meeting Boyd at the bar later, all, she doesn't care if he hides stuff in her place, but she needs to be all in. Either they're partners, or they're not, she can handle it. And then she really ingratiates herself to him by telling him she noticed one of those deeds is not like the other- one was to the Pizza Palace, which used to be a bank. So, he's happy and proud of her, that she figured out where the money is being kept.

Now, what I'm curious about is if she figured it out herself, or if Raylan told her to say it- I mean, he knew Tim had dropped off Choo Choo at the Pizza Palace and then came there later to demand an audience with Ty's boss before he sells his property, but then again, he's not privy to everything the audience has seen, so he might not know all the pieces and realize there's a connection runnning through all this. And if she did figure it out herself, is she helping him in order to give him enough rope to hang himself with, but has not yet told the Marshalls all this until she has something useful to give them?

Other things- Ty menaces the bank lady for info about the robbery, and she tells them she overhead the cops talking about Boyd, so now Boyd is on his radar. And, since he's annoyed with all the stuff he's had to deal with that day, he and Seabass go to a farm owned by a couple refusing to sell in the middle of the night, most likely to murder them. "See what happens when you call me a peacock!" HA! Also, who calls people Peacocks anyways?!

Oh, and Boyd starts to get ahead of the Dewey being murdered thing by asking Ava if she'd seen Dewey the next morning. However, I dunno if this will be significant later, but the new bartender is cleaning up and finds Dewey's gator teeth necklace, and I guess he doesn't recognize it, because he just hangs it around the neck of the squirrel. Wonder if someone will recognize it later and start to suspect Boyd of the disappearance.
