A to Z- Series finale. Sad to see this go. Not as sad as I was to see Selfie get canceled. Oh, and Benched was canceled too! What's with all these sitcoms with chicks I like getting cancelled! But anyways, at least this ends on a good note. So Andrew's Ex played by Dreama Walker (always nice to see her) is in town, totally there to steal Andrew. The usual hijinks occur- Zelda tries to get her off Andrew's scent by setting her up with one of her exes. They talk to their exes later, with Andrew's ex claiming she totally wasn't there to steal him away, and how rude of him to think that when she needed a friend, and Zelda's ex thinking she still had a thing for him. So Andrew goes with his friends to confront the guy, but of course they think he's cool and ditch him, and Zelda tries to apologize wherein Madeline admits she was trying to steal him.
But, the kicker is, Madeline backed off because she knew she couldn't crack Andrew, and tells Zelda how he was always a sweet guy and tells the story of how they met. Which involves him meeting her one time, and them randomly seeing her again in LA, and him being all, "Its meant to be!" Naturally, this kinda freaks Zelda out, wondering if that's his line, relying on the universe to be his "wingman". Particularly given how they first met and her having reservations over him believing in this meant to be thing. A cynical person would think he is playing with her.
Of course, Andrew messes up, all, "Oh, I thought I meant it with her, but I know I mean it with you!" to which she naturally replies, "until the next girl he thinks is meant to be!" So, she asks him to reassure, which granted, is kinda impossible because he can't read the future. But he actually says that, saying he can't guarantee that they will. Which dude, why would you say that? So, she decides to accept the partner job she was offered by her boss (played by Rashida Jones!) in NY.
But its okay, because Andrew follows her! Then he sadly dies, and she meets an architect named Ted, and they have two kids together before she tragically dies of some disease. Just kidding. NY doesn't feel right, and Steffie and Stu conspire to get them to meet at the same restaurant they first met. Andrew tells her he doesn't care about this meant to be crap anymore, he just knows he wants her. So they kiss and make up, and at least the show ends with them getting together, and presumably living happily ever after.
