geebsSaw Mockingjay over the weekend. I enjoyed it. I've always been fascinated by the propaganda aspect of the series, which seems to take center stage. The whole building Katniss into the symbol of the rebellion, and Coin not being impressed at first, until Katniss gets a chance to naturally demonstrate her charisma. I was amused when they tried to make videos in a green room, and it being quite awful, until everyone agreed she had to go out in the field. And boy, did that work out for them!
Well, I mean, it was pretty bad for the poor people in the hospital in District 8, but Katniss did get to make a passionate speech about the horrors the Capitol committed.
But heh, how did they not see the thing with Peeta coming? Or expect something, like maybe they had a bomb on them or a tracker or something. Because Snow practically taunted them it was a trap, and then their comms were cut off, and then they came back just fine?
TV commentary:
Walking Dead- Well, that can't be good. So Daryl, Noah, Rick, Tyrese and Sasha go to Atlanta, and capture 3 of Dawn's cops. They seem helpful, despite being prisoners, saying they're chafing under her rule. But the one cop tricks Sasha, like I can't believe she turned her back on him!
At the hospital, one of the cops doesn't want to waste resources on Carol. Beth hears this and tries to save her, kicking up a fuss about how that cop wastes electricity recharging his DVD player or whatever. So she demands Dawn not turn the machines off on Carol. But Dawn orders her cops to turn off the machines, and tells Beth its her fault. I guess Dawn can't be letting Beth tell her what to do, because it makes her look bad? In any case, she secretly gives Beth a key to save her. I'm not sure she can trust Dawn, and the Doctor tells her so, that if she gave her the key, she must have some ulterior motive.
Back at the church, priest guy sneaks off, because I guess he doesn't like being cooped up with a bunch of what he views as killers.
Out on the road, Rosita shows she knows how to make water filters, Glenn notices fish they can fish for, Tara finds a lollypop, Eugene wakes up, and Maggie tells Abraham to get over himself, and he does.
